Jeezy Sued By Hells Angels Over Logo Usage

Jeezy is being sued by the Hells Angels, according to TMZ.com.

The motorcycle club filed a lawsuit seeking unspecified damages against Jeezy’s 8732 Apparel for its alleged use of the Hells Angels Death Head logo, as per TMZ.com.

The lawsuit, which also seeks to stop 8732 Apparel from selling merchandise featuring the logo in dispute, alleges that Jeezy has made money by using the Hells Angels logo on 8732 Apparel jackets and hats, TMZ.com says.

Although the logos are similar, the 8732 logo is not identical to the Hells Angeles logo.

A comparison of the two logos is as follows, courtesy of TMZ.

Last month, Jeezy relased the song “In My Head” and said that he was working on a new album.

Hells Angels made a similar claim against MTV personality Rob Dyrdek last year, TMZ.com says.

    1. They sued that Drama Beats guy from Rob Dyrdeks Fantasy Factory like a year ago over the same shit and either won or settled out of court. Either way they won and they will win this.

    2. none of these rappers are original with their clothing and merch. you got kanye ripping off 80’s metal bands for his lame ass yeezus shirts.

see something they like and blatantly copy it then claim to be some fashion icons and geniuses.

      1. I don’t know what rock you’ve been hiding under for the last decade, but fashion repeats itself. Of course no idea is original. But it isn’t even limited to artists alone. It’s the whole fashion industry. Right now, everything is 80s, from the colorful attire to tight phants, to hairstyles. And besides, you are not even addressing the real issue with this article. Jeezy straight up bit the design of the Hells Angels logo. You just sound like a Kanye hater to point him out specifically without any specific proof of what he bit, any type of copywrite infringement. Unless you’re rocking some non brand robe (and even that would be biting some monks style)I bet nothing in your wardrobe is original. This article is similar to Yellawolf and the Macklemore deer shirt design incident.

      2. “Kanye West and Virgil Abloh teamed up with Brooklyn-based artist Wes Lang on classic 80s metal bands-inspired logo t-shirts as well as Confederate flag t-shirts.”

he’s ripping of 80’s metal shirts while claiming to be some fashion genius

      3. Yeah, inspired, but not blatantly copied. Are there any brands that are like “hey, that’s our logo?” Exactly. And you single out Kanye obviously. Riddle me this, who is your favorite artist and I can promise you whatever they’re rocking is something inspired. Once again, it’s not about inspiration on this article, it’s about straight biting.

      4. and im saying kanye is a straight biter. he takes shit from other cultures like metal bang t-shirts and scottish kilts and tries to act like he invented the shit

    3. Jeezy dont wanna fuck with the angels. The angels are real and not like those pussy gangstarappers who sold a little bit of crack.

      1. Son no one want to mess with the hell angels, it a big defferent from selling crack and trying to be hard because you have a gun, verse them white boys that will make your whole family disappear without a trace and do not spent one night in jail and push real weight from state to state

    4. I’m no legal expert, but here’s how I predict the case going:

Judge: So you’re a criminal gang trying to claim a copyright/trademark?
HA: Well, we are a “gang” in some-
Judge: CASE DISMISSED. Also, we fine the Hell’s Angels for filing a frivolous lawsuit.

      1. naw son. they are a motorcycle club. they have sued all kinds of people and won for stealing their logos.

Rob Dyrdek and Young and Reckless got sued last year

    5. Thats a bad look for Jeezy. People who don’t know any better could seriously get beat up bad for wearing those fake ass rockers with a death head..

      1. Yes sir!! COme around East LA wearing that fake HA patch and you just might get a beat down or even killed. Not only in East LA but anywhere rival HA clubs reside.

      1. its a club jackass and thats a registered trademark.. yall get mad when they handle shit on the strip… then get mad when they handle it peacefully. FUCK YOU BITCH

      2. What cave have you been living in? It’s a known fact that the HA logo is a registered trademark. Dumb ass n*ccas should be thankful the Angels are going the legal route instead of giving fools a real reason to cry.

    6. I don’t think Jeezy was counting on Hells Angels knowing about his clothing when he bit the logo. A lot of mainstream rappers do that shit; take something their fanbase ain’t up on(clothing, flows, lyrics, names etc.) and pass it off as their creation then look stupid when they get called out on it, then their fans get on hhdx and called the person, rapper or whatever that really created the shit and call them a broke hater, attention whore, irrelevant, who? Sound familiar?

      1. truth is jeezy didnt recognize that the DESIGNER ripped off the logo.. just shows how out of touch jeezy is with the underworld

    7. Get the fuck outta here, 1% outlaws taking a gangster rapper to court. What is this world coming to.

      1. sure they could beat his ass down bike style but that would likely result in legal trouble.. this way they’re gonna get paid

    8. I dont give a fuck how thug you think you are or how many guns you rap about, Hells Angels are for real, way bigger than any clik you run with and have no problem beating, shooting, stabbing and blowing people up.

    9. He’s legit lucky there taking this route to handle this. If they did it the regular way Jeezy would be wiped off the map. If not the worst case scenario definetly something real close. Imo. Yeah he’s got bodyguards but them bike gangs are forreal.

    10. I could think up and design any logo I want without copying or even looking at another logo and put it on something and there’s still going to be a 100% chance that my logo would be the same or similar to another logo that exists. Unless Jeezy literally uses their logo and directly copies every last detail, I don’t see what the problem really is… there is no chance in hell of anybody anywhere really designing an intricate logo that hasn’t been designed between now and since any logo was ever designed. There is absolutely no possibility of creating a logo that’s not already out there in some variation. You just can’t do original without someone out there doing it or having done it elsewhere.

Not that i’m defending him but Jeezy himself probably had no input in the design whatsoever other than seeing it and saying yes or no to liking it and giving his designer the thumbs up to go ahead and have that done. I don’t see why Jeezy himself is getting shitted on as if he sat down and designed the logo personally… or did he actually? and even then, my point still stands, he stood no chance in designing anything that doesn’t exist somewhere. So just like every other copyright case, this is retarded. If you copy something, knowingly, give credit and just mutually enjoy the fact you both like the same damn idea or design or piece of music or something……. no need to make court cases and try fill your pockets and screw people over it. People are just money hungry morons looking for ways to make a buck or two. There are better ways to make paper than to fuck people for it with shit like this.

    11. before I looked at the bank draft four $7601, I have faith that my friends brother truley erning money part time at there labtop.. there brothers friend started doing this 4 only 17 months and resently cleard the debts on their place and bourt Mitsubishi Evo. read what he said… http://smal.ly/nkY63

    12. there’s a whole bunch of hypocrisy in this comment section

a bike club with plenty of police blotters, investigations, and rap sheets gets infringed and they scared of them when they kill, sell drugs, and extort

a major drug dealer who does time and gets infringed is the scum of the earth and deserves it for killing his people

lmao @ “its a club jackass and thats a registered trademark..”

It would be okay if it wasn’t registered even when you know about the street rep and the consequences reported?

but it’s ok when a fatboy does it in a form of entertainment?

      lol

this is when you pull their cards ya heard

    13. how many of you know anyone in the hells angels besides just watching sons of anarchy and seeing that youtube video with the bikers? stfu.

      1. whats your point though? are you trying to say hells angels arent the bad ass mother fuckers everyone claims? you dont get a rep like that without some or most of it being true

    14. Not a club, it’s a gang. Anyway that outfit is horrible, It can be for the lawyer albino of the Hells Angels, for their outputs in scooter.
