Jeezy Speaks To Youth At Philadelphia Detention Center

Jeezy has been referring to himself as a “pastor,” which corresponds to the title and content of his most recent album, Church In These Streets.

The Atlanta native recently visited a Philadelphia detention center, the Juvenile Justice Services Center, to speak with misguided youth during a pit stop on his tour and to let them know where he himself went wrong during the earlier years of his Rap career.

The detained kids ranged in age between 13-20 and still have a chance to make a positive first impression. Jeezy also offered the youth a bit of encouragement. He asked them to take responsibility for their actions and seek to make better decisions.

    1. Good to see Jeezy on some community service type stuff. I think the “pastor” thing is just the flavor of the month. This too shall pass.

    2. If I was speaking to the youth I would let them know street life is forever. School and old people don’t understand. The future is the streets. I did 7yrs and will do it again. Street Cred is more important than hearing a rapper talk. Rappers are entertainers. Show me a rapper who lives in the hood and keeps it real. No body wants to see the youth survive.

    3. lmao this nigga went to go talk to the youth because I said on a different article he’s not selling as much as Logic because the youth is taking over. Jeezy wants to get back in to where he once was but he’s just not as good as he use to be.
