Jeezy & Rick Ross Film “War Ready” Music Video, Footage Released

Jeezy and Rick Ross made headlines when they settled differences to collaborate on “War Ready,” a selection off Ross’ upcoming Mastermind album. The two reportedly paired up over the weekend to film a music video for the track.

Footage of the filming of the “War Ready” music video was released through @igloomediabase. The footage features Jeezy and Ross rapping along to “War Ready” and a person firing a prop weapon on the set. The Instagram account also provides an image of Jeezy and Ross standing next to one another.

T.I. was reportedly integral in the reconciliation of Jeezy and Ross, two rappers who had been feuding since at least 2010.

“I ain’t gonna say I brokered peace and got them in the studio,” T.I. said of his role in peace-making recently. “One of my closest partners in the game, man — Young Jeezy — I simply said to him, ‘We done did as much as we can do with this. It’s gone as far as we can take it, ain’t nothing else to do if it ain’t nothing that can’t be talked about, that hasn’t gone so far that a muthafucka can’t come back and…do what the fuck we do, man. Get money.’ War costs money.”

Footage of the filming of “War Ready” can be viewed below.

      1. you dont have to use the N word so freely though my guy, share your piece without using racial insults towards our people.

    1. smoke machines and fake gun shots. what an original concept for a video.

why does khaled gotta be in background of every video?

      1. Never understood the hate for Khaled, I guess some people just hate people they consider to be Middle Eastern, America is like that but the reason why you see Khaled in so many South videos is because he wears so many damn hats.

      2. DJ Khaled is CEO of WTB, A&R for Def Jam, Cash Money artist, and a DJ/Producer/Exec-Producer.

I know people view him as just some irritating A Rab, but if there was still a Def Jam South he would be a senior VP, he does a lot of behind the scenes work people dont see.

      3. no hate on him. just find it funny he has to be in all the videos like hes an artist. hes on his 90s puff daddy shit.

      4. yo, some cats should just stay behind the scenes. dj khaled is one of em. im sure hes got some talent and business skills but hes super corny to me. he fake proposed to nicki minaj and made a fool out of himself for some quick media attention and the album still flopped.

      5. “DJ Khaled is CEO of WTB, A&R for Def Jam, Cash Money artist, and a DJ/Producer/Exec-Producer.”

        hes a glorified hypeman

    2. 50 Cent lost again. Rick Ross’ innovative music is more cohesive and niggas respect him more than 50 Cent. even Jeezy supports Ross now. also im a close friend of Wale, and 780.000 niggas pre-ordered ‘Mastermind’ it will be 1 milli at first week. swag

      1. Not to call you a lie but there is no way the Pre orders are 780,000 for an album that doesent even have a radio single and an artist who has me never surpassed 250K in first week sales.

Realisticly this will be Ross lowest selling album with the irony that it will also be one of the best music wise.

    3. LOL I love how ATL cats act like they the Mecca of Southern HipHop as if Houston dont exist, lets not act like Swisha House and Rap A Lot were not just as influential as Dungen family or yall others.

      1. Houston with the screw music, Atlanta with the crunk and Miami with the Bass. Music bushmen I think of a classic sound itsout the Nola with Manny Fresh.

    4. When this album comes out I’m going to my local Best Buy to hide all the copies in the Country section so the young people can’t buy it. This music is detrimental to our communities and is poisoning our youth while making us all dumber.

      1. You groupie unit stans are pathetic. Life must be so lonely if you spend your time in best buy hiding rozay albums. Like fiddy doesn’t say the same things in music.

      2. A futile effort because the stock maintenance people will simply return the CDs to their correct area.

A more productive activity would be for you to volunteer at your local youth shelter and mentor the youth within your own community then you can go online and share your work and encourage others to join your cause.

    5. so this brother almost lost his like for faking the funk and now hes right back to glamorizing guns and violence?

lets hope he knows what hes doing and really is “war ready” if they ever test him again.

    6. I hope Big Daddy Ross takes his shirt off in this video.

BTW, I’m having noodles for lunch today in my 93 dodge if anyone was wondering. I don’t even need a fork, I’m using my long fingernails. Anyone wanna chat?

      1. Anyone out there? I’m so lonely. I’ve already been through my TL 4 times and I’m all caught up with everything my boys at MMG have been up to in the last few days.

      2. Where are all the lames and groupie unit stans today? I’m bout to hop on Kik to get some hot redheads to show me their big boobs in exchange for some crotch pics I took in my bedroom.

Peace. Remember to follow me @BruthaDee

      3. Its a weekday. Come the weekend you can find me in the club with a bottle of Bellaire or Ciroc and 2 bad bitches on my side. You pale faced acne covered losers wouldn’t know nothing bout that though.

Yes!! That proposal was a critical blunder and the Tupac/Biggie single was another crucial blunder that killed all the momentum for his album. Sheeesh, they need some new blood at WTB to get in Khaled ear.
Khaled is like a Dallas Martin or a Young Savv on the business side but he wants to be an artist so hes like a weird hybrid of Ebro/Pecas/Flex/Diddy all wrapped in one. I will give him props for “Buggatti” going platinum but another critical blunder with Ace Hoods Rolex just killed the buzz for Ace album.

      1. LOL, Migos and Tracy T the same color, the same age, from the same city, that fat white dude in a group with Ghost would be a disaster like V-Nasty and Gucci Mane forming a group.

      2. why would migos want someone who sounds just like them in the group? thats why i said bronson and ghost.

and it wouldnt be called a super group because migos and tracy t aint done shit in the rap game.

      3. Trap out da Bando, Trap out da Bando…servin out da house wit da boards on the window.

Greatest abanodended house song of all time.

    8. Now that the spat is over I guess Rozay could have put Jeezy on the BMF song but Styles just gave it that NY flavor that made it a universal hit and not just a South hit.

      POM = JayZ
      Trilla = JayZ
      Deeper than Rap = Nas
Teflon Don = Styles P and Jadakiss
God Forgives I Dont = Nas
      Mastermind = JayZ
      TBA = Nas

      Ross know whats up.

      1. I dont know about universal, I think you mean international.

Go on YouTube and search “Rick Ross B.M.F in London” and “Ric Ross B.M.F in Angola”
and “Rick Ross B.M.F Live Tobogo” and listen to the crowd response from Arica, Europe and the Islands.

Fam’ you know Styles aint international like Eminem or Pitbull but the streets on multiple continents fuck with the boy.

      2. ” and listen to the crowd response from Arica, Europe and the Islands. ”

To be fair them Africans would probably go crazy for anyone who comes out there and performs, they don’t see a lot of action, same with the Island peoples.

      3. The sad thing about Fiddy is that he is a world renowned mega-platinum artist signed to the biggest rapper in the world and the most acclaimed producer in HipHop.
If Ross dont chart its like who cares he isnt a platinum rapper that has starred in major Hollywood movies with top 5 Billboard singles featuring Justin Timberlake.

Fiddy is worth over100 million, he can get the best professional musicians and features that money can buy but theirs no major interest in his music.

      4. “still higher than anything fiddy put out in the last 8 or so years”

Oh, really? 8 years ago was 2006, so let’s see here:
        Best Friend #35
        Straight to the Bank #32
        I Get Money #20
        Ayo Technology #5
        Get Up #44
        I Get It In #53
        Baby By Me #27
        My Life #27

These are all of 50’s singles since 2006 that have charted higher than BMF. You have been schooled!

      5. 50cents biggest hits from 2007-2014 have been “Ayo Technology” with the POP star
Justin Timberlake and a single he released in 2012 with POP star Adam Levine featuring POP rapper Eminem. 50 tries to cater his music to the suburban POP music crowd but they prefer LiL Wayne.

      6. Every mainstream rapper is trying to cater their music to the suburban POP music crowd, Ross included. His highest charting singles are The Boss, which had POP singer T-Pain, and Aston Martin Music, which has POP singer/rapper Drake.

      7. I agree with the Fiddy fan, T Pain and Drake are just as pop as Justin Timberlake and Adam Levine even if the last two are more pale than I am without my sun block.

    9. wow this is what black ppl put out for young black kids to watch and these supposed to be grown men? guys running firing automatic weapons while they rapping in middle of chaos?

    10. Red Cameras changed the game, they shooting HD quality vids that be ready for broadcast within a week, I miss them Busta Rhyme vids, them shits was mad creative even of they cost his entire budget lol

      1. Teflon Don #1
        Deeper then rap #2
        Port of Miamai #3
        Trilla #4
God Forgives and I Dont #5

        Self Made Vol 1 #1
        Self Made Vol 2 #2
        Self Made Vol 3 #3

        Rich Forever #1
        Ashes to Ashes #2

Best Verse. devil in a Blue Dress

        Best song. The Boss

        Best video. Speedin

    11. Rozay can retire after this album and focus solely on running his label, he might want to pull a JayZ and come out of retirement with some reinvention but he has done everything a rap artist can hope to do in their career: get rich, get some plaques, make music with legends, tour the world, and out your dogs on.

      1. he doesn’t own a chain, he owns some franchises. he working for someone else instead of creating his own shit as usual. he jacked his name, he jacked his labels name and logo, and now he jacking biggie songs.

    12. I seen a list of the rappers and singers that Ricky has worked with and I was pretty impressed, he has been one of the most prolific featured artists of the last 5 years. I cant think of any major rappers left for him to make songs with, he covered em all.

      1. its just too bad all his songs and verses are about selling drugs he never even sold instead of writing some shit to uplift his people and influence the kids in a positive way like telling them to go to school and get a job like he did.

      2. @anonymoys2

LoL, are you a white kid from the suburbs? Do you question Emimem when he raps about killings and rapes and ask why he raps about raping his own mother encouraging white youth to emulate his serial killer fantasies on “3-AM”?

Are you a white detective that knows that a black man didn’t sell narcotics under your nose while in his community from your desktop computer where you act like you know what a virtual stranger did thousands a mile away from your suburban computer?

      3. Officer Ricky fans are too naive to inderstand that the only reason why people collab with the cop is to piss off online nerds so that street listeners wont be associated with them.

      4. “LoL, are you a white kid from the suburbs? Do you question Emimem when he raps about killings and rapes and ask why he raps about raping his own mother encouraging white youth to emulate his serial killer fantasies on “3-AM”?”

Thats the Ross groupies go to move, accuse anyone who doesn’t like Ross to be a white kid from the burbs who listens to Eminem. Bitch I don’t give a fuck about Eminem or his corny raps.

    13. Ross won’t even be able to do them J Cole numbers and Cole didn’t have Jay-Z on his album despite being signed to him.

    14. JEEZY is shit compared to RICK ROSS…the numbers dont lie

      JEEZY-

THUG MOTIVATION 101(05) -150,000 first wk
THUG MOTIVATION 102(06) -350,000 first wk

      1. This only proves that Ross ain’t shit compared to Jeezy. And LOL at Mastermind selling 297K, don’t kid yourself. Ross ain’t got the buzz to sell that much. He’ll do 150-175K at the most.
