JAY-Z Wows Fans In Paris With Fire Performance Of ‘N-ggas In Paris’

JAY-Z has wowed fans with a performance of his and Kanye West’s global smash, “N-ggas in Paris” during a rare show  — which was actually in the French capital.

The JAY-Z Celebration Concert, which took place on Friday (April 14) at the Fondation Louis Vuitton just off the Seine River, was done in conjunction with the Basquiat x Warhol. Painting Four Hands exhibition, supported in part by Tiffany & Co.

The ROC Nation mogul also performed “Encore,” “Can’t Knock The Hustle,” “Thank You,” “FuckWithMeYouKnowIGotIt,” “No Church in the Wild” and many other hits.

Check out some clips from the performance below:

JAY-Z’s latest performance comes after he delivered his iconic “GOD DID” verse at the 2023 Grammys Awards in February, which he said he did out of respect for Hip Hop culture.

“I thought about it, I was in my head and I just broke down and said, ‘You know, it’s a four-minute verse.’ Again, for the culture, for Hip Hop, we got to do that,” he said in an interview with TIDAL about the performance.

“This ain’t your traditional song. … It’s not your traditional structure of what you think a song that would be nominated for Song of the Year would sound like. It’s not what you expect. And for the culture and for Hip Hop, we got to do that.”

He continued: “We owe that. This thing that changed our lives. We got to do that. A four-minute verse performed at the Grammys. We owe it to the culture, and it ain’t even a burden. It’s a blessing. It’s easy and fun.”

JAY-Z’s performance closed out the Grammys and took place outside the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, where he was joined by DJ Khaled, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, John Legend, and Fridayy. Seated next to loyal associates “OG Juan” Perez and Emory Jones behind a lavish dinner table, Hov recreated Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper while reciting his show-stealing verse.

    4. Basquiat was a fagg and Warhol was a pedophile. And their art was not that good either. Jay-Z got lost for a minute with this shit.

    5. It would be funny as hell if every show Jay did Takeover just to spite Nas. Jay turned Nas into his little bitch-boy. Made him sign his live over to Jay. Jay won. Turned Nas into his own little bitch-boy alright.

      1. I used to visit Paris every two years to see family… that city has gone very downhill the past decade or so. It isn’t what it used to he in the 90s and earlier. It used to have a really nice, relaxing vibe to it… there’s a lot of ghettos there now, areas to avoid, homeless vagrants and more. It’s really sad, but I mean, most cities in western nations have gone downhill. Where is in Japan, they can still have 24/7 self serve restaurants on the honor system. You walk in, throw the food they provide in a mic oven, pay as you leave. Nothing prevents anyone from trashing the place or robbing it. But the high morals of the people keep it up as a high trust society. Must be so nice to live amongst people like that.

    6. Wait but 50 said Jay ain’t international! even though 50 had a diamond album and Jay has never reached diamond he has sold 6x more albums than 50, worldwide(140mil to 22mil). So this must have been a green screen cause everyone keep saying how no one messes with Jay outside of New York.

      1. I think by global, people generally mean popularity outside of the western nations. So Europe tends to listen to a lot of American artists. But Africa and Asia, not so much, though Tupac and Eminem both made it very big in both countries. I spent some time in Jamaica about 5 years ago. 50 cent and Pac were played often in cars going by. Never really heard Jay, Em, Biggie, dmx, or others.
