Jay-Z Making Married Millions On Tour

With music industry CD sales nearly forcing artists alternative routes for better profits such as ring tunes, Jay-Z and Mary J Blige have capitalized off of their Heart of the City Tour having already made over nine million dollars in sales.

According to statistics from Live Nation over the past weekend, their first eight performances have combined for $9.1 million. Selling out seven out of the shows, the average number of people in attendance at each event was about 12,000.

While based on speculation, Live Nation estimates the 28-date tour making around $33 million total.

The success of the tour follows a line of recent achievements for Jay-Z, including his assumed marriage with R&B sensation Beyonce Knowles, and the signing of a $150 million, ten-year deal between himself and Live Nation. The business agreement will involve the organization to work with Jay-Z in ventures including touring, recordings, and sponsorships.

Although the marriage has yet to be confirmed by either couple, Mary J Blige did congratulate the couple on stage in Greensboro, North Carolina over the weekend.

Congratulations to my man, Jay-Z, and my girl, B,Blige reportedly said according to reports from The New York Daily News. Shortly after, the singer dedicated “You’re All I Need” to the couple.
