Jay Z Lands Dez Bryant $70 Million Deal

Wide receiver Dez Bryant signed a new contract with the Dallas Cowboys yesterday (July 15). The deal is for five years and $70 million, ESPN reports.

Bryant is represented by Jay Z and Roc Nation Sports.

The Dallas Cowboys released a video of team owner Jerry Jones congratulating Bryant and explaining how he worked out a deal with his agent.

“My hats off to you,” Jones tells Bryant. “You did a good job associating yourself with Jay Z. He’s wonderful. I spent hours with him last night and it was great, thinks a lot of you and I do too.”

Roc Nation Sports also represents basketball player Kevin Durant and baseball player Robinson Cano, among other athletes.

Demaryius Thomas from the Denver Broncos also signed a 5-year $70 million deal minutes before the deadline to sign franchise-tagged players. This makes the two the highest-paid wide receivers in the NFL.

    1. OK now Jay Z is making Dez Bryant, and Thomas the highest paid wide receivers in the game and not one comment, congratulations, nothing ,but yaw tweet, and respond to stupid stuff daily ??? Wow, he’s raising the status quo up,and you don’t even understand !

      1. Jay only represents Dez, not Demariyus. They just mentioned Thomas in this article because they have similar contracts.

    2. I think this is beyond awesome and am shocked it’s crickets on this blog. Hats off to Roc Nation sports for making it possible for talented Athletes to achieve these salaries while obtaining their dreams, playing their favorite sport!!

      1. Your shocked that the comments for this posting are quiet!? I’m not. Who cares. How does this story effect me in any kind of way? Why should I give a flying fuck about it?

    3. Jay consistently proving while he’s the king of the hip hop community by doing this. It goes beyond spitting on a mic. Puff and 50 keep failing at their business ventures outside hip hop, but i’m still rooting for them
