Jadakiss and Young Guru have showcased the lyrical power of Roc Nation’s current class by hosting a rooftop cypher that features some of the label’s brightest new talent.
HDBeenDope, Reuben Vincent, Huey V, KUR and Rapsody all spit their respective freestyles over some of JAY-Z‘s biggest beats, with Rapsody leading the way, rapping over Hov’s “Renegade” beat from The Blueprint.

From there, the label’s newest signee Reuben Vincent took over the mic and spit some bars over “Blueprint (Momma Loves Me).” Vincent inked a deal with Roc Nation in 2021 and over the summer toured alongside Pusha T for his It’s Almost Dry Tour.

Aside from playing host, Jadakiss just wrapped on his 3 Headed Monster Tour alongside Cam’ron and Ma$e, which kicked off in Bridgeport, Connecticut on October 19 and wrapped in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on October 30.
The LOX legend also took some time recently to list out his Top 5 favorite voices in Hip Hop. “It took me a while, that’s like education in music just to know the different [sonic] of people’s voices,” he told Uproxx in September.
“Just unique voices for me as I started learning about it. I think Guru, rest in peace. [Method Man], you know when the [Wu-Tang Clan] came Meth’s voice was deep and raspy and just he has an ill voice.”
He continued: “Big, with the nasal. Sounds like he’s having a hard time breathing but that’s making his cadence extra crazy. Tone-Loc, Tone-Loc’s voice was ill. Nas, with the nasal. That’s voices! So don’t get mad at me.”

As for Young Guru, the legendary engineer also joined up with Roc Nation’s School of Music, Sports & Entertainment at Long Island University as director of the music technology, entrepreneurship and production program.
