J. Cole’s manager Ibrahim “Ib” Hamad has fueled rumors that the Dreamville rapper’s forthcoming album will be The Fall Off.
Ib sent fans into a frenzy on Tuesday (February 7) by tweeting about The Fall Off being his choice of an album he’d most want to see Cole perform on tour front-to-back.

The Dreamville faithful didn’t give Ib much time to breathe as they smothered the tweet and peppered him with questions about Cole’s potential next offering.
Fans demanded answers in regards to the next album being The Fall Off or It’s A Boy, both of which Cole teased in a 2020 post when he first announced The Off-Season.

Ib didn’t offer any more details about the anticipated LP, but J. Cole appears to be in album mode having cleared his Instagram page earlier this year. The North Carolina native’s last album arrived in 2021 with The Off-Season.
The album, which boasted appearances from 21 Savage, Lil Baby, Cam’ron and more, handed Cole his sixth consecutive solo No. 1 on the Billboard 200 after tallying 282,000 first-week units. It was later nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2022 Grammy Awards.

Last month, J. Cole blessed an aspiring producer by rapping over a “J. Cole Type Beat” on YouTube courtesy of a Brooklyn beatmaker by the name of Bvtman, who told HipHopDX the beat was actually made with André 3000 in mind.
Cole decided against keeping “Procrastination (Broke)” locked away in his vault and instead granted Bvtman permission to share the song with the world as a token of his appreciation for him and other producers.
“This song should live on your channel and serve as a thank you to you and every producer out there cooking up and sharing their work with the world,” Cole wrote. “It’s a million artists out there right now just like me, hungry and searching every day for something to spark a word, a melody, a hook, a verse, a punchline, a way to vent, or a way to CUT THROUGH.

“On a day when I couldn’t find much motivation, I was looking for anything to inspire me. Out of curiosity, I typed in ‘J. Cole type beat’ into YouTube. Yours was the first I saw. I pressed play, focused, and wrote this. This is some shit that would normally stay in the vault, but I don’t want to hold onto the music like that no more.”
