J. Cole Reveals ‘The Fall-Off’ Album Release Date & Artwork

    J. Cole‘s new album The Fall-Off is officially around the corner.

Catching the hip-hop world by surprise on Wednesday (January 14), the Dreamville rap star announced that his long-awaited seventh album will be released on February 6 — just over three weeks away.

The news came via a short cinematic trailer that narrates the concept behind the title and also includes a snippet of an unreleased song.

“Everything is supposed to go away eventually,” a voice says over shots of J. Cole cleaning his Lamborghini at a car wash and eating a meal on his own at a diner. “You see this especially in show business with famous actors or musicians. And it’s like, ‘Oh, this guy used to be famous and then he ‘fell off.’ What happened?’

“And they want to point to, ‘They did this and this and they made some sort of mistake.’ Instead of thinking that, look, it’s kinda crazy they got famous in the first place. So few people reach that level that yes, of course, it’s not gonna last forever because somebody else has to take that spot.

“And that’s how show business has been since forever. But no, they always want to say, ‘That guy fell off.’ They want to look down on him for just going through the natural cycle of rising and falling.”

The video closes out with a 30-second preview of a hard-hitting, southern-flavored track on which Cole raps: “Picture my soul climbing out of the infinite hole / Where n*ggas die over pride and live for the” — before it cuts off in a flurry of gunshot sounds.

    2. Man, that trailer hit deep. J. Cole ain’t just dropping an album—he’s dropping wisdom. The fall-off isn’t failure, it’s just life. Respect for owning the truth, the grind, the fade. You still the king, even when the crown’s heavy.

      1. He is worse than Drake. At least Drake isn’t pretending to be all so insightful like this idiot his fan base too all think they better than everyone else and overly emotional listening to this cringe from a horrible person who abandons people and runs with his tail between his legs. Ye better!

        1. I’ve been reading the comments and laughing at the bullshit but I have to ask you, if you saw the sun, would you say that’s a stupid baseball pretending to be the sun? I cry. lol

Everyone doing better French & Max B, EST Gee, Uzi, Carti, Yeat got a album, Don Toliver, Ye got Bully this month, DaBaby got a album this month

    3. Uzi better and YoungBoy and Ye about to drop albums and DaBaby meanwhile this entitled loser political pusher race hustler is pushing his agenda so full of himself and only dumb millennials like him them and other people who fall for agenda.

    4. Ain’t no body but white peoples who push politics listening to this that’s his audience mostly dumb women and sensitive men the dumb blacks listening to him are all preppies not hood. Look how he used Durk and abandoned him or used Tee Grizzley abandoned him too.

      1. Weird liberals that’s his audience white who think better of themselves for pushing agenda and blacks who made politics their religion. He just profits

      2. He turned on Ye too the guy who made his career producing for him. He is so fake pretending to care but really he cares only about himself and trying to pretend he’s superior to others Kendrick is the same massive hypicrites and egos.

    5. Free Diddy. I want my butthole torn open. J Cole is wack anyways. NBA YoungBoy , Drake and Lil Yatchy are better artists. J Cole acts like he the great messiah of rap but all his albums do is make me want to take naps after listening to them.

    6. I love listening to real artists like Future, Young Thug, Lil Baby, Lil Uzi , Young Gotti, and Travis Scott.
