Island Boy rapper Franky Venegas was arrested after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend by slapping and pushing her into a swimming pool.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the incident took place Saturday (May 6). Venegas’ girlfriend told police that in response to her threatening to break up with the viral star due to his “physical abusive behavior,” the pair got into a heated argument while in the pool area of their Airbnb in Pompano Beach.

The woman revealed to officers that the Florida native (who goes by Kodiyakredd) got upset and allegedly slapped her across the face and pushed her into the shallow part of the pool, causing her to hit her chin on the concrete floor below.

When the police spoke to her at a nearby hospital, they noticed bruises on her chin, legs, and arms. Afterward, Venegas was arrested on charges of domestic battery.

As of now, the viral rapper has been released, and has been sharing some pretty enthusiastic posts via Instagram.

In one post in particular, he shows his mugshot, writing, “Free naaa missed everybody. [It’s] not what it seems. Love and peace, and prosperity, that what life is about. 24 hour lockdown and fighting demons nobody cared now they do.”

Venegas, along with his twin brother Flyysoulja, took the internet by storm with the release of their now-viral single, “Island Boy” in 2021.

In other related news, Doja Cat found herself in hot water with the other half of the rap duo, Flyysoulja last September.

The “Say So” rapper didn’t want to be in the Live session and awkwardly asked the rapper how she could escape the situation in the least embarrassing way possible and he wasn’t too thrilled about it.

“How do I get you off Live?” she asked. “No offense, but I don’t want to do this anymore. How do I do it? Help!”

Flyysoulja responded in disgust: “She wants to get me off the Live? Are you serious? Okay, do you actually want to get me off Live? Your attention span is too little, huh?”

He reached a new level of anger by the end of the viral 30-second clip where he screamed “Look at Me!” as Doja Cat finally exited the session.
