iLoveMemphis Explains How Memphis Is Making A Comeback

iLoveMemphis, the name fits the man. He loves his hometown and says it’s not as bad as it used to be in the inner city.

During a recent interview with HipHopDX News Editor Soren Baker, the “Hit the Quan” rapper explained how his native town is making a comeback.

“I’m from North Memphis and that’s the bottom,” he said via a segment of today’s (December 17) DX Daily. “That’s where you kind of have hard times. Yo Gotti’s also from North Memphis but Memphis has gotten better as far as poverty. It’s really turned up. This is our year. We got “Hit The Quan” going on, Memphis Tigers, they beat Ole Miss, they undefeated. It’s a blessing.”

iLoveMemphis also explained why he believes Memphis has always been a magical place for music.

“Memphis is one of those cities where you see something better,” he said. “Memphis is also where Martin Luther King took his last breath and it’s where Elvis Presley is from. It’s a lot of big history in the city, man.”

    1. Its ridiculous when they interviewed these artist who Clearly dont have anything relevant to say. He is talking about Memphis music making a comeback when Memphis never had a heavy representation outside of the city besides 8Ball & MJG & 3/6. Why are you talking about Dr.King whe n your interview is about Memphis music? ELVIS IS NOT FROM MEMPHIS!

    2. Shout out to all the broke Memphis niggas, which is basically ALL Memphis niggas. Black on black love, which is why black neighborhoods are the safest!

      1. If you in the M town i see why its in this condition.. I hope you are part of the solution since you an your family are financially set.. If not you can grow old an die now.. Much love though

    3. Dear Mr iluvmemphis….despite what you believe Memphis has never fallen off. there are many great Memphis artist who have had success over the years and still do such as Juicy J, Project Pat, Yo Gotti, Starlito, DJ Paul, Eight Ball MJG and many others. Memphis is and has been since the 80’s one of the most consistent cities in the south when it comes to putting out good rap music. Learn about your own city before you speak and might I ask why in the hell are u bringing up MLK?
