Iggy Azalea is hitting out at her former record label Universal Music Group, calling the company “criminals” as she accuses them of owing her millions of dollars.

In a series of posts to X on Saturday (March 15), the Australian rapper revealed that she was never paid out any international royalties for any of her hits, which includes the likes of “Fancy” and “Black Widow.” She explained that she’s currently in talks to reconcile it, but they offered her a mere fraction of what she’s owed – which she said is sadly par for the course.

“Crazy how in my entire career I was never paid a single royalty by universal music for anything outside of the USA,” she said. “They owe me millions of dollars in back pay, that they technically stole from me, as per my contract I am due payment. The amount owed is in the 8 figure range. Last week they tried to respond to my lawyer and offer me a settlement of 18k.

“I’m told this is a normal response from their lawyers and after appearing in court they end up paying millions as they’re supposed to. Thankfully I’m well off and can and will pursue this issue until they pay me what they owe. But I’d like to publicly say that I think universal music are criminals who actively take advantage of ALL of their artists in perpetuity for their own gain.

“They are the scummiest company and they do this to SO MANY artists who unfortunately can’t afford to fight for what they’re owed thus they get away with this behavior. Universal music really needs to do better in their treatment of the artists who quite literally earn them millions via intellectual property they had zero part in creating. Yuck.”

In a second post, she added, “Universal music mark my words you ugly bitch – You will pay me what’s owed.”

In other news, Tory Lanez has made a public attempt to win back Iggy Azalea on his new album Peterson.

Despite currently being incarcerated for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in 2020, that has not stopped Lanez from making music or trying to rekindle his romance with the Australian rapper.

On “9$IDE x Amethyst,” the title of which is a reference to Azalea’s real name, Tory dedicates most of the track to rapping about the blonde bombshell.

“It be nights I want to talk to Iggy, but she blocked me / Amethyst, if you ever hear this shit, shawty, call me / You know that I’m always makin’ spicy bitches salty / Need to come correct ’cause all that shit I did was faulty / I miss when you wrapped around my body like a tall tee,” he raps.

He also admits regret over their past fling coming to an end: “Richest n-gga in the prison, ain’t no average / Fuck a bitch and think I should have stayed with Amethyst.”

“Amethyst, if you still free, shawty, let me know / Let me pick up where we left off, shawty, I’ll be yours / Amethyst, if you still down, let me know / ‘Cause I got plans of fucking you when I get home,” he sings in a Chris Brown-esque voice.

The two rappers were rumored to be dating before Tory was sent to prison over the controversial shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.
