Iggy Azalea at times can be controversial on social media. Becoming known for vague responses to those who criticize her, the Australian rapper has decided to pull back from Instagram for the time being. In early February, she decided she was done with Twitter.
“Until further notice Iggy’s Instagram will be run by management,” the post said. “Iggy is taking a break from social media. She loves all her Azaleans!!”
Iggy Azalea further addressed why she’s taking a break from social media in a statement to fans:
“I don’t care about being relevant. I just want to live my life and deserve for whatever I do in the privacy of my own property not to be on a blog. That’s just human decency and if it’s hard for you to understand then you have a warped sense of reality. I’m not here for yall, don’t want or need you to talk about me and would be wildly happy if being irrelevant meant being able to check the mail in the morning without seeing a photographer hiding out in a car across the street. Peace!”
Iggy is currently working on the follow up to her debut LP, The New Classic.
