On Friday, August 25th you can bet your top
dollar that the theatre lines will be filled up with movie goers awaiting to
see Idlewild. The story of the loves
and ambitions of two stuggling performers, starring multi-platinum and
multi-Grammy winning Outkast members
André Benjamin (Andre 3000) and Antwan A. Patton (Big Boi).
Set in the 1930s, Idlewild explores the lives of Percival
(Benjamin), the club’s shy piano player, and Rooster (Patton), the club’s showy
lead performer and manager. Told through perplexing musical numbers and animated
choreographed dance sequences, Idlewild
brings the tale of struggling singers to life.
The all-star cast consists of Ving Rhames (Mission: Impossible), Terrence Howard (Hustle & Flow), newcomer Paula
Patton, Faizon Love (Elf), Malinda Williams (Soul Food),
legendary recording artist Pattie

Idlewild includes new songs from Outkast’s forthcoming album, also
titled Idlewild.
