Fans of rapper/producer Dr. Dre will be pleased to hear that a new Dr. Pepper commercial [click to watch] featuring Dr. Dre will include the first official set of beats from Detox.
Although the commercial is well under a minute long, it’s still long enough to give fans a listen to the instrumental version of “Shit Popped Off”, a track on Detox.
“Shit Popped Off”, which features rapper TI, was one of several potential Detox tracks that were leaked [click to read] earlier this year.
The highly-delayed album was intended to be released years ago, but was pushed back when Dr. Dre decided to work on other artist’s projects.

Although there is still no set release date for Detox, Dr. Dre explained to MTV that he will be releasing Detox after 50 Cent‘s [click to read] Before I Self Destruct and Eminem‘s Relapse are released.
The Dr. Pepper commercial featuring the “Shit Popped Off” snippet will begin airing on June 1.
