Although his uncle is currently awaiting trial for second-degree murder, the youngest member of No Limit Records, Lil Romeo is trying to ensure fans that he is all about giving back to the community. Within the span of one week Lil Romeo took part in two charity events, one to benefit medical research, and another to let his fans play one of his favorite games. Lil Romeo and Master P hosted a free video game event for one hundred needy children at New York City’s Bar Code last week. At this event, children from Children’s Aid Society, Homes for Homeless, and Coalition for Homeless, got to meet the rapper, enjoy free food and play video games with him.
Just a week before the Game Time event, Lil Romeo, along with label mates and family members, Silkk the Shocker and Master P participated in the annual TJ Martell Celebrity Basketball Classic, which brought in $80,000 for medical research. Master P has plans in the works for Lil Romeo to take a lead role in a major sci-fi movie titled ‘Shorty’. “It’s like a twist off of ‘E.T. [The Extra Terrestrial]. He’s the lead role in it — it’s gonna be real big. We’re right in the beginning stages of it”, Master P said earlier this year. Lil Romeo second album ‘Game Time’ is slated to drop June 4th.
