Chris Brown dropped his latest album Breezyon June 24, but it apparently didn’t get the support he expected. The 24-track project boasted contributions from a roster of high-profile guests, including Lil Durk, Lil Wayne, H.E.R., Jack Harlow and Tory Lanez.

Despite the album debuting at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, the seasoned R&B singer had a few words for those who didn’t support the album. On Sunday (July 3), Brown took his thoughts to Instagram as he announced the deluxe version of his tenth studio effort.

“July 8th breezy deluxe album,” he wrote in his Stories. “Not that it matters…SEEMS LIKE YALL ONLY INVEST IN THE NEGATIVE STORIES ABOUT ME. CHRIS GETS IN TROUBLE (THE WHOLE WORLD IS ON it). Chris drops album [crickets]. I’m back on my gangsta shit. It’s BRACKING at all times.”

Chris Brown often finds himself on the wrong side of the law, having experienced multiple arrests over the years. In January 2019, the 33-year-old was arrested in Paris after a woman claimed Brown sexually assaulted her at a Parisian hotel. The accuser said she met Brown at club Le Crystal on the evening of January 15 and she agreed to follow him back to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, where the alleged crime took place.

Three years later, another woman filed a civil suit falsely accusing Brown of raping her on a yacht in Miami in December 2020. The woman attempted to sue Brown for $20 million, but Brown submitted text messages to the Miami police department indicating they had a consensual relationship. The accuser’s attorney dropped the case against him after claiming she was unaware of the messages. Brown plans to counter sue the accuser for defamation for making false accusations.

Chris Brown's 'Breezy' Album Likely Won't Debut At No. 1 Thanks To Lil Durk & Bad Bunny

As for Brown’s music, Breezy did notch a No. 1 on Apple Music’s U.S. charts and Top 200 single on Spotify’s U.S. chart. It also sold over 72,000 total album-equivalent units, which included roughly 5,000 pure album sales, making it his 12th Top 10 album album in the country. The album accumulated 87.36 million on-demand audio streams in the United States as well.
