Lil Durk has seen his star power grow to new heights since COVID-19 brought the entertainment industry to a temporary halt. After posting the most Billboard Hot 100 entries of any artist in 2021, Durkio isn’t stopping anytime soon.

Smurk sat down with Ebro Darden in Los Angeles for an interview earlier this week ahead of his Apple Music Live performance, where he teased his next project with Metro Boomin.

“As far as the next album, you must’ve heard something? Nah, it’s really the Metro [Boomin],” he said at the end of the interview. “Guaranteed.”

Durk isn’t worried about the leaked version of No Auto either, as they locked in to cook up more heat for the album.

“If that got leaked, ya’ll can have that,” Durk proclaimed. “It’s another level.”

The Chicago native reflected on earning his first No. 1 album spot on the Billboard 200 thanks to his The Voice of the Heroes joint effort with Lil Baby in 2021. Following a tour together and undeniable chemistry in the studio, Durk is open to the idea of doing another collab project in the future.

“We were vibing so crazy in the studio, we had to,” he continued around the six-minute mark. “We were just in that zone. He who he is, he turned up and actually can rap. He ended up rapping his ass off, I’m changing my energy. Matter of fact, we both made each other start writing. I would do another one. Sure.”
