Lil Tjay is reportedly still unconscious following emergency surgery on Wednesday (June 22). According to TMZ, sources close to the situation say the 21-year-old rapper is scheduled for a CAT scan to assess the amount of damage that’s been done to his body. Outside of moving his leg, he’s made no other bodily movements.
The Bronx rapper was shot at a Chipotle Restaurant shortly after midnight on Wednesday. A second victim was injured in the shoot-out, although their identity has yet to be revealed. People quickly apprehended three men believed to be responsible for the shooting.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office explained Mohamed Konate attempted to commit an armed robbery against Lil Tjay and two of his friends. When they resisted, Konate allegedly shot Tjay multiple times, while one of Tjay’s friends was shot once. Konate has been charged with three counts of first-degree attempted murder, while the other two suspects have been hit with second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.

Several of Lil Tjay’s peers are showing their support for the rapper on social media, even incarcerated rapper Casanova who wrote, “N-gga you know better!!! Praying for you from my jail cell lil bro. You gonna be alright tough times don’t last long only tough people do. And you a bad mother f**ka!!! When you get out stop by the crib and pick that bullet proof up!!! @liltajy.”
