Beyoncé has partially cleansed her social media pages, and fans are convinced it means the follow-up to Lemonade is coming soon.
It’s been more than six years since the Bey Hive has been fed a new solo album, but fans noticed on June 8 that Queen Bey had removed her profile photos from all of her social media pages. While the rest of her feed is still intact, fans are hopeful a big announcement is incoming about her seventh studio album.
The R&B legend’s sixth studio effort Lemonade was the most critically lauded project of her career. The album, which featured appearances from The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar and others, shot to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in its first week, moving 653,000 album-equivalent units.

In the years that followed critics hailed the project as Bey’s magnum opus, applauding the singer for her honest and vulnerable examination of her husband JAY-Z’s infidelity. The project was nominated for a plethora of awards, including Album of the Year at the 59th Grammy awards. The project even went on to win a Peabody award.
With all that being said, Beyoncé has kept a low profile these past few months and has mostly been tinkering behind the scenes. She recently linked up with Brooklyn drill rapper Fivio Foreign, who had sampled Destiny’s Child on his B.I.B.L.E. track “Say My Name,” and told the Brooklynite that she’d only clear the sample if he “cleaned up” the track’s vulgar content.
“Shoutout Destiny’s Child, appreciate that, they cleared that joint,” Fivio said to Ebro Darden. “[John “Big John” Platt] and them. [Beyoncé] had to hear it. She heard it. It was a little vulgar, a little bit for her, at first. I cleaned it up, I cleaned it up, I cleaned it up a lot. It was like, ‘You can’t be talking about girls like that!’ Afterward, Big John and them explained to me, it’s a bigger record now and it made sense.”
