Skusta Clee is seemingly addressing the news about his alleged infidelity and recent separation from his girlfriend, YouTube personality Zeinab Harake, in Gloc 9’s latest single, “Kumpisal” (Confession), of which he is featured. The two have previously worked together in last year’s “KARMA.”

The Ex Battalion rapper sparked rumors when he released a teaser to the new song, one of which was captioned, “‘Di bibilangin ang pagkakamali. Patawarin mo akong muli.” (Won’t count the mistakes. Forgive me again.) along with a May 13 date and hashtag “Kumpisal.”

The two have been in a widely publicized on-and-off relationship for a few years and have announced in 2020 that they are expecting their first child, to which Skusta Clee dedicated his hit 2021 song, “Lagi” (Always), which dominated Spotify Philippines charts, along with “Dance With You,” his collaborative single with fellow Ex Battalion member, Yuridope.

In April this year, Harake revealed on social media that she had a miscarriage on her second child with Skusta Clee. She wrote on Twitter, “Be our forever angel mommy loves you so much.”

Fans have speculated that the pair may have broken up yet again after Harake unfollowed Skusta Clee on Instagram and deleted their photos together on her account. On May 8, she confirmed their separation in an interview, where she reveals that she’s now a single mother. “Nawala si Moon. Wala na kami nung tatay habang buntis ako,” she said. (We lost Moon [her second child]. Her dad and I are no longer together while I was pregnant.)

She went on to say that Skusta Clee often left her by herself during her pregnancy despite her pleas. “Dumating sa point na nagmamakaawa ako sa kanya,” (It got to the point where I was begging.)

Regarding the infidelity issue, Harake shared that she accidentally Skusta Clee’s messages with other women on his laptop and that he later confessed to her, but didn’t elaborate on what. She said in the interview that the “last straw” for her was when Skusta Clee swore on his mother and daughter’s life that he wasn’t cheating, which, according to Harake, turned out to be untrue.

In a press conference about “Kumpisal” yesterday (May 12), Skusta Clee reflected on his past relationships, without directly addressing his recent split with Harake. “Mas natutunan kong mahalin ‘yung sarili ko. Kailangan mo talagang unang mahalin ‘yung sarili mo kasi hindi ka matututong magmahal ng iba kung ‘di mo mamahalin muna ang sarili mo.” (I learned more how to love myself. You need to love yourself first because you can’t love other people if you don’t do that first.)

Asked by reporters on how he’s doing right now, he said, “Okay naman. Kailangan mo sya ingatan. Ako kasi yung tipo ng tao na hindi nagii-stay sa isang lugar. Nagmo-move forward ako.” (I’m okay. You need to take care of [your heart]. I’m the type of person who doesn’t stay in one place. I move forward.)
