Atlanta, Ga

Ludacris received an honorary college degree on Wednesday (May 4) after graduating, “LUDA-CUM-LAUDE” as he put it, from Georgia State University in his hometown of Atlanta.

Luda proudly walked across the Center Parc Credit Union Stadium stage and even made a speech on what he described as one of the happiest days of his life and something that was on his bucket list for decades.

“I owe Georgia State University a great debt because you helped me to arrive at my why,” he said on stage. “Our alma mater was founded on the principles to help you find those answers. So with its rich history of excellence and inclusion, it plays an even more important role.”

A ton of love and congratulatory messages poured into Ludacris’ Instagram comment section from the likes of Busta Rhymes, Jermaine Dupri, The Rock, LaLa Anthony, Royce Da 5’9, Mike WiLL Made-It, Slim Thug and UFC fighter Holly Holm.

Master P Receives Honorary Doctorate Degree From Lincoln University

“From now on, with all due respect, and remember I said with all due respect, y’all are gonna have to call me Georgia State University graduate Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges,” he said in another clip. “Momma, I made it — we did it. Class of 2022, yes it took a long ass time, but damn it I made it.”

Even with his busy schedule with music endeavors, filming for Netflix’s End of the Road and the Fast series, in addition to being a father, Ludacris still made time to get his degree, proving it’s never too late.
