Curren$y can always say it took a perfect night to beat his beloved New Orleans Pelicans.
Spitta Andretti was on hand to witness Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns eliminate the Pelicans in six games on Thursday (April 28), largely due to Paul setting an NBA playoff record with his 14 made field goals without a miss. The Point God was in full command of his powers, much to the chagrin of Spitta and his manager Mousa, who took in the game on the front row.
After the Suns’ 115-109 victory, Paul still had enough energy to chop it up with Spitta, who playfully pushed him away after his 33-point performance. Reliving the moment on Instagram Friday (April 29), Curren$y said it was all love with him and Paul, the latter spending his early days in the NBA in New Orleans as a member of the then Hornets.

Speaking with TMZ Hip Hop after the game, Curren$y feels even with the loss, the Pelicans are set up to make even more noise next year.

The growth of the Pelicans in 2021-22 was a miracle all its own. The team began the season 1-13 and thanks to crucial midseason acquisitions, propelled themselves to a playoff spot by beating the San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers in back-to-back games before taking the Suns, the league’s best team in the regular season, nearly to the limit. It’s the kind of perseverance which embodies New Orleans and Spitta himself.
