Pusha T has always embraced being deemed a “coke rapper,” but for the rollout of his latest album It’s Almost Dry, the G.O.O.D. music president has gone full force in embracing his persona. On Monday (April 25), King Push took to Instagram to unveil a limited-edition deluxe box set of merch designed by Kanye West himself, but the merch is packaged to look like an actual brick of cocaine.
“YE COOKED UP THE BRICK,” Push wrote. “DONDA DESIGNED BOX SET AVAILABLE NOW.”
The box set features two limited-edition t-shirts designed by Ye, as well as a copy of the album, all packaged up to look like Pusha T’s purported drug of choice. The package is going for $65, with all orders shipping on June 17.
Pusha T dropped his highly anticipated DAYTONA follow-up on Friday (April 22), which features Kanye West, Kid Cudi, Pharrell, JAY-Z, Lil Uzi Vert, Don Toliver and more. In an interview with Rolling Stone earlier this month, he called it “album of the muthafuckin’ year” and said the project title also partially harks back to drug culture.
AD LOADING...
“I’m always creating a masterpiece and in the creation of that in terms of a painting, you end up telling people while they waiting on it, ‘It’s almost dry,’ because they’re always asking, ‘When will it be done?’” he explained. “And you have to wait on masterpieces. Also in drug culture, a lot of times you’ll have people waiting on the product and it’s not dry yet. You can come get it when it’s dry.”
