Rappers are often spotted courtside at various NBA games throughout the year. 21 Savage happened to be in Arizona after performing at Coachella over the weekend and decided to stop by Game 2 of the Phoenix Suns vs. New Orleans Pelicans series on Tuesday night (April 19).

Savage was courtside at the Footprint Center and the Phoenix Suns along with their Gorilla mascot showcased the Atlanta-bred rapper on the jumbotron and gifted him his own personalized purple Suns jersey.

21 received an ovation from the crowd in attendance and launched a couple of Suns t-shirts into the stands for a few lucky fans while getting clowned by his friend with him taking the video.

The top-seeded Phoenix Suns were upset by the Pelicans as they went on to drop Game 2 by a score of 125-114 to even the series up at one game apiece. They also lost their superstar guard Devin Booker in the process, who left the game with a mild hamstring strain and his status is reportedly uncertain for the rest of the series.

As for 21 Savage, the “A Lot” rapper took the Coachella stage on Saturday night (April 16) where he was joined by Post Malone to perform their No. 1 smash hit “Rockstar” as well as Metro Boomin’ on stage for “No Heart” and “A Lot” throughout his dynamic set.
