Pusha T season has returned. While his It’s Almost Dry album was rumored to arrive in May, King Push’s latest effort, which he’s confidently predicted will be the album of the year, is now set to drop on Friday (April 22).
“ITS ALMOST DRY… 4/22 SEE YOU FRIDAY,” Push wrote to surprise his fan base. The announcement came with an accompanying clip of Pusha T channeling his inner Joker.
It’s Almost Dry features 12 tracks with half the album produced by Kanye West and the other finding his fellow Virginia native Pharrell behind the boards. Charlamagne Tha God even hailed the project as Pusha’s “best body of work.”
“I had the best of both worlds in regards to production and in regards to two people that actually understand who I am and they like two different things from me that I feel are both really great,” Pusha T said of working alongside Ye and Skateboard P. “This body of work is untouchable because it doesn’t lean too heavy on either side, you get the whole spectrum. It’s my most well-rounded body of work.”
The 44-year-old has set the tone with a pair of singles already in “Diet Coke” and the JAY-Z-assisted “Neck & Wrist.” Pusha T is gearing up to hit the road in support of the album as the It’s Almost Dry Tour will begin in Seattle on May 29 and trek throughout the United States.

“My brand is all about creating masterpieces,” Pusha also told Complex. “This is a legacy thing with me. This is all about being great. This is the realest real estate in Hip Hop, and I’m the Martin Scorsese of it.”
Collaborators on the project outside of Pharrell, Kanye and JAY-Z aren’t known. Push teased working with Dr. Dre, but it isn’t known if that will land on It’s Almost Dry. However, Pusha T revealed to Hot 97 that he’s “pushing” his brother, No Malice, to reunite for a new Clipse album.
