Tee Grizzley + XSET To Provide Personal Gaming Consoles To Ex-Inmates

Tee Grizzley has partnered with XSET, the world’s most diverse, innovative, socially conscious gaming, esports, and lifestyle organization. Together, they will invite ex-convicts to join the Grizzley Gang and play in Grizzley World RP, Grizzley’s customized Grand Theft Auto roleplay server. Announced on Tee Grizzley’s Grand Theft Auto Server, the Detroit rapper is the first talent to ever join a gaming organization live in-game.

Knowing ex-convicts often have trouble reintegrating into society, Tee Grizzley wanted to help those looking to better their lives by providing them with a positive alternative to the streets. As he tells HipHopDX, “Being able to combine my passion for gaming with my passion for helping people who have faced similar challenges, is such a great feeling. I’m proud to join the XSET team and partner with them on this initiative to help change lives for the better.”

Gaming has been a constant in Tee Grizzley’s life since falling in love with games such as GoldenEye 007 and Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland as a kid. In the gaming world, he’s best known for streaming Call of Duty and his own customized Grand Theft Auto roleplay server, Grizzley World RP, which lives on his Twitch channel. Since building the world last year, Grizzley World RP has climbed to the Top 10 most popular GTA V RP servers worldwide and served as the platform to announce his latest album, Built for Whatever.

While Tee Grizzley is undoubtedly entertained by gaming, he values what it’s provided for himself and others — a way to stay out of trouble and the streets. Grizzley has already gifted a gaming PC for his friend who was recently released from jail and is under house arrest in an effort to dissuade him from returning to his old ways. He’s now a full-time gamer.

The announcement also includes the first of three installments of Tee Grizzley x XSET merchandise, which fans can purchase at the merch store while in Grizzley World RP. According to the press release, “the proceeds from the sales of the first installment of t-shirts will be used for giving personal consoles to ex-incarcerated inmates who have a passion for gaming and are looking to start a positive future.”
