With the NBA YoungBoy and Lil Durk feud heating up, Calboy is siding with his late cousin King Von and Only The Family.

The Chicago native took to Twitter on Tuesday (March 8) to explain how he won’t be releasing his YoungBoy Never Broke Again collaboration out of respect for King Von and the current war of words.

“Out of respect for Von, I’ll never drop that YB song,” he wrote. “Out of respect for Von I’ll always call bullshit when I see it y’all n-ggas [don’t] respect shit.”

Fans flooded Calboy’s replies and comment section while calling him out for letting King Von diss others on their collabs and some even joked that YoungBoy wouldn’t even clear their song for release.

HipHopDX caught up with Calboy last year following King Von’s murder at an Atlanta hookah lounge following an altercation with Quando Rondo’s crew on November 6, 2020. Calboy detailed how even though they were cousins, they didn’t become closer until later in life.

“That was a tough situation for me because even though I was successful, and I popped off before Von, I still looked up to him because of how he moved and how he just carried himself and the respect that he earned for himself,” he said.

“We weren’t that close, we just cousins through family. But his death definitely messed with my mental, especially after my cousin passed off popping an ecstasy pill and my other cousin got shot in the head.”
