Rappers can say some outlandish things, and fans will be quick to run with whatever is said, regardless of whether it’s true or not.

Over the weekend, Polo G was the topic of conversation when a Twitter parody account claimed he said Sketchers footwear was better than Air Jordans. Fans were quick to believe the tweet, especially with how fast people believe anything on the internet these days. The comment came as a surprise to those who were fooled by the parody account, given Polo G is from Chicago, Illinois, where NBA icon Michael Jordan played professional basketball for 13 seasons.

Sketchers aren’t at the top of the list when it comes to sneaker heat, so fans questioned Polo G’s judgment. The concerns were so loud that the Hall of Fame rapper jumped on social media to shed some light on the fake comment regarding Sketchers sneakers, and his response has fans rolling their eyes.

“I ain’t gone lie I don’t remember sayin this shit,” Polo G wrote in response to the tweet.

The parody account had a bit more fun with another fake report claiming Polo G and Sketchers were going to collaborate on a sneaker. As of press time there is no validity to Polo G collaborating with Sketchers.

While he remembers what he said in the past, Polo G is also busy pushing the official music video for his latest single featuring Lil Baby titled “Don’t Play.” The video finds Polo and Baby rapping with souped-up Hellcats in tow.
