Silk Sonic has officially taken over video games. The Grammy Award-nominated duo of Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars have officially joined the Fortnite universe as playable characters.
Dubbed the “Silk Sonic Set,” each of the two musicians and a plethora of outfits will be available for Fortnite players starting February 10. Fans will also be able to compete in the “Silk Sonic Cup” tournament, which kicks off on February 7.
Players will also get access to an exclusive in-game radio station called “Icon Radio” hosted by Bootsy Collins. This means players can listen to the duo’s debut album An Evening with Silk Sonic along with other Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak tracks while they drive around in vehicles.

“When Fortnite asked me if I wanted to create an outfit for the game, I asked, ‘Are CGI muscles off the table?'” Bruno Mars said in a statement. “They said ‘no.’ I said ‘deal.’ I’ll see you on the Island.”
Anderson .Paak agreed with Bruno’s sentiment, saying “When Fortnite agreed to give Bruno CGI muscles, I said I’m in. He could use the help, so I support it. And it makes me cool. Win, win.”
This isn’t the first time Silk Sonic has appeared in Fortnite. The pair previously performed a “Spotlight Concert Series” in 2020 and in April 2021, Mars introduced the “Leave The Door Open Emote,” which was a signature dance available to players.
“Bruno and Anderson are long-time Fortnite favorites,” VP of Global Marketing at Epic Games Nate Nanzer said in a statement. “And we’re thrilled to welcome them to Fortnite‘s Icon series.”
