The Game Uses Funk Flex & Ebro Darden ‘Top 50 Rapper’ List Snubs As New Album Motivation

The Game is gearing up to release a brand new album in 2022 but before he does that, people are leaving him out a few “Best Rappers” lists and he’s not too happy about it.

On Monday (January 24), The Game took to Instagram with a post regarding a trio of lists that T.I., Funk Flex and Ebro Darden created that names their respective Top 50 rappers of all time. All three of the lists included artists such as JAY-Z, The Notorious B.I.G., Drake, J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar, but each one left The Game out.

The Compton rap star felt disrespected and proceeded to use the lists as motivation for his next album, allegedly titled Drillmatic.

“@oldmanebro @funkflex & @troubleman31…… I ain’t forgot about these lists…,” The Game wrote in the caption of his post. “#DRILLMATIC coming soon…. HURRICANE GAME LIVES y’all shoulda just threw my baby mamas in there too !!!!”

As far as Drillmatic is concerned, Hit-Boy is producing the entire album and G Herbo is calling it the “hardest album of 2022.” The Game did post a few pictures on his Instagram of him in the studio with Diddy, Migos’ Quavo and Hit-Boy, standing in a hallway with plaques on either side. He’s also been spotted in the studio with Kanye West, Pusha T, Moneybagg Yo, Curren$y, A$AP Rocky, will.i.am, London On Da Track, Dreezy and others.

The Game Links With Diddy, Quavo & Hit-Boy Following G Herbo's 'Hardest Album' Claim

The Game is off to a great start with this upcoming album. His recent collaboration with Kanye West and Hit-Boy titled “Eazy” debuted at No. 49 on the Billboard Hot 100, earning the Compton rapper his highest-charting song in almost 15 years. The Game’s last single to chart higher was “My Life” featuring Lil Wayne in 2008, which appeared on his LAX album.

    1. This is why I hate having hip hop discussions with Eminem fans, cause Eminem fans are fans of Eminem, not hip hop. You have 3 people who’ve spent their lives around hip hop and none of them have Eminem higher than 7, which is fair. Stop telling me Eminem is the goat he’s not. My issue was with Pac not being consistently higher. My top 5 would be
      1. Tupac
      2. Jay-Z
      3. Biggie
      4. Nas
      5. Rakim

    2. Did I just see wale and meek mill on these top 50 lists? Young thug? Seriously? None of those clowns can even touch game on the microphone. The only thing that comes from these lists, is ppl showing they like shitty music.

    3. I thought I would see kool g rap more than once. Meek mill and wale shouldn’t even be top 100.

      Rakim
      Kool g rap
      Nas
      Andre 3000
      Black thought
      Biggie
      Eminem
      Jay z
      Redman
      2pac

      2. Nipsey, Nicki, Ross, and Cam’ron,50 cent, and Jay electronica before The Game? Throw the whole list out, bro. I’ll give you Jay electronica, but his catalogue is almost non existent…. But the others? Hahaha!!!!

        1. My list is based on time periods. I did it by who I listened to the most at the different times in my life. Also, the list contains rappers that have them lyrics and flow. My list is: 1990-1999 (numbers 1-10), 2000-2004 (11-20), 2005-2010 (21-31), 2011-now (32-50

    5. Game can’t handle da truth. Only exclusion on dat list is da reigning King of NY, King Tekashi. Brooklyn stand up.

    6. I have him in my top 15. Had him at 10, but he was bumped out by Ghostface… there’s no shame in being bumped out by Ghost.

    7. No particular order but: 1. Ice-T 2. Kool Keith 3. MF DOOM 4. Pastor Troy 5. Noreaga 6. The RZA 7. MURS 8. Homeboy Sandman 9. Camu Tao 10. Blu 11. Casual 12. Mr. MFN eXquire 13. Wiki 14. 1. You’re definitely white with that wack ass list…. Like suburban white….. Not hood white….And I’m white LMAO…. Everlast? Necro? Paul Wall? You like them? Cool. But they ain’t top Nothin’, bro

        1. That’s his top 50. I put Dop Trip on mine because he is a lyrical genius with flow. However, everyone don’t listen to him.

      2. I like your list! I like how your list is your list. Good look! Glad to see someone who sees Pastor Troy as a top contender!

    8. Don’t see him anywhere on that list (no surprise), but Kool Keith in his prime would destroy all your favorite rappers.

    9. 1. Nas 2. Ghostface 3. Black Though 4. Raekwon 5. MF DOOM

Previously had Big Pun and Mos Def listed 4 and 5 respectively but their catalogs are too thin.

        1. Trash comment you’re not a hiphop head. You’re a slobbering npc mutant whose life is defined by infinite failure. Do better.

      1. Have you really listened to Pastor Troy? And I’m not talking about his newer music! Listen to Troy’s early music. He really had some lyrics and great stories.

    10. Wonder what it would take for these people to stop disrespecting Game. Numbers don’t lie, he is the dopest rapper ever out of the West side after Pac. Respect that! Can’t wait for his upcoming album.
