T.I. Declares He’s Never Been ‘Dusted On A Record’ While Naming JAY-Z, Nas & Kanye West

T.I. wants his flowers when it comes to the best rappers — and believes he’s at the top of the list. The Atlanta rapper took to his Instagram Stories on Sunday (January 16) to assert his name at the Hip Hop summit, despite music not being his primary source of income.

“Muthafuckas can’t fuck with me in no way, shape, form or fashion when it comes to doing no music, man,” he began. “I got a lot of other shit going on so I don’t do music on no consistent basis. I don’t depend on that shit to feed me, you hear me? But when you’re talking ’bout doing music, when you’re talking ’bout cutting records, you talking ’bout putting shit out, talking ’bout making shit that’s better than anything out there, man, ain’t nobody fucking with me. Nobody fucking with me, bruh.

“Now, you might like somebody else better. It might be somebody else, you know, ‘I like this better than I like T.I.’ Okay fine, ’cause you like them better. That’s cool, that’s your preference. But n-gga, when it comes to putting shit out, ain’t nobody fucking with me, man.”

T.I. went on to claim nobody has out-rapped him on a song and that people don’t want to collaborate with him because of it.

“I just feel like sometimes muthafuckas get shit twisted and tangled – don’t do that,” he said. “I ain’t that, n-gga. I don’t give a fuck about your personal opinion, about how you feel about me, about what you think. When it comes to getting behind that muthafucking mic, n-gga, putting some shit to music, ain’t nobody fucking with me, n-gga. None of ’em. None of ’em.”

He added, “To the point where they don’t even wanna be on the same record with me, n-gga, because they know they can’t fuck with me. You ain’t never heard of me on no record with nobody and they dusted me, n-gga. You ain’t never heard that, n-gga. Ain’t never happened, n-gga.”

T.I. Goes On King Rapper Rant Over ‘Minions’ & ‘Replicas’ - But Doesn’t Name Names

T.I. then name-dropped JAY-Z, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Nas and Pusha T as those in the conversation, but made sure to assure his dominance.

“Jay and Nas, you need to bring them, bring them, n-gga,” he said. “They who you need. Jay, Nas, Wayne, Ye… n-gga, they who you need. Bring them. Pusha T. Yeah, all them. They who you need. Keep trying to goddamn throw my name in the circle, in the mix… ain’t nobody fucking me, n-gga. Keep playing, n-gga, I’ma keep dropping shit, I’ma keep showing you, n-gga.”

He continued, “I ain’t even gotta put this shit out for real, n-gga. I’ma just show you, n-gga. I record that shit, I own my own studio, I rap when I want to, I go and make music when I feel like it. Put that shit out just for you to hear it, just to know, ‘Damn, this n-gga still raw.’ Yes, ain’t nobody fucking with me.”

T.I. challenged 50 Cent to a Verzuz battle in September 2021, but 50 told him to “respectfully stay away” from him. In June 2021, T.I. announced his next album Kill the King would be his final album.

    1. See how he mention Jay, Nas, Wayne, Ye and Pusha T but he don’t mention king Tekashi coz he know The King a lyrical mastermind too big to respond to a small fry like that.

    2. He’s Trick Daddy Ultra Instinct at best. The only thing he’s best at is being The Informant and a 5$ trap house pimp.

    3. T.I. in my opinion is one of the best lyricists out there. He is the third best to ever come out of Atlanta. We clearly know the two best ever Atlanta rappers. T.I. is certainly upper tier in the game. Where he fits on the list is debatable because there are still some excellent rappers out there.

    4. Ah yes, TI tripping again. Been a while. First he says he don’t drop music then he says he keeps dropping. Dude needs to do what he does best, check his daughters hymen. Leave the mic alone TIP, it’s over and it’s been over. Also, nobody killed him on a track? Eminem OWNS “All She Wrote”. And ain’t no way TI got the best verse on “Swagger Like Us”. Even Christina Aguillera killed him on “Castle Walls”. Lol.

      1. In my opinion Eminem is a superior lyricist but TI owned both of those collabs. Em was doing the goofy voice all through Touchdown although his production was good. And in All She Wrote, Em was rapping about hotdogs and spitting lazy lines about bashing women whereas TI had more meaningful content.

    5. you ain’t the best when you gotta remind us bitch rather remind us about that one time your lil wifey f***ed Floyd

    6. Tip needs to stop feeding that gremlin he calls a wife past midnight bruh. Oh, and he needs to stay off the meth too.

    7. Someone take the bottle from TIP, he went from spittin to become hip hops version of Karen in the last ten years.

    8. TI is the rapper who doesn’t know what his name stands for. A complete idiot with huge ego and zero good songs.

    9. Little man syndrome always has this wimp feeling mad. Funk Flex aired your lame azz catalog out already. Dolph’s catalog alone is 10x better than this pop artist.

    10. I like TIP, but Bun did burn you on Bezzle, on the the Trap Muzik. But that’s what Bun does when he does a feature.

    11. Clearly he forgot about Busta Rhymes verse on “Hurt” or Jay-Z’s verse on “Watch what you say to me”. Both on the same album.

    12. I like T.I., and he can hold his own ground. However Alpha- Omega kill that song HURT and Ludacris peeled ” Sitting On Top of the World”.

    13. I love TI and been a fan since Trap Muzik but bruh, Nas within a span of like 18 months, puts out 3 albums that’s better than any in your catalog at his age and year 26-27 in the game. It’s like Pippen saying he’s as good a player as Michael Jordan. Stopppp iittt!

    14. LOL. TI’s writing is elementary. He had the weakest verse on young thug’s barter 6 album. I’ll never forget how wack his verse was, rapping about “She let me put in anywhere but the butt” .. what what?

      1. Wait whaaaat how can you have the weakest verse on a young thug album unless you are young thug?

    15. I respect t.i. But luda killed him on that track with young buck even the most underrated mc ( krayzie bone ) had a better verse than t.i. On the track – time for change ( trae the truth – t.i – krayzie bone – bun b – e40 )

    16. The crazy part is: his unqualified blah blah makes the south look bad again. The surfaced stuff about him and his wife in private, made it to the courts. And his hairstyle, worst than Covid.

    17. He must’ve forgot that one time Luda dusted him on the same track he dissed him on. Young bucks earlier version of stomp

    18. Nas, Nas… is this fool crazy! Blasphemy!!! “Nas is like” Earth, Wind & Fire, rims and tires
Bulletproof glass, inside is the realest driver
Planets in orbit, line ’em up with the stars
Tarot cards, you can see the pharaoh Nas
“Nas is like” Iron Mike, messiah type
Before the Christ, after the death
The last one left, let my cash invest in stock
Came a along way from blasting, tecs on blocks
Went from Seiko to Rolex, owning acres
From the projects with no chips, to large cake dough
      Dimes, giving fellatio, siete zeros
Bet my nine spit for the pesos
But what’s it all worth, can’t take it with you under this Earth
Rich men died and tried, but none of it worked
They just rob your grave, I’d rather be alive and paid
Before my number’s called, history’s made
Some’ll fall, but I rise, thug or die
Making choices, that determine my future under the sky
To rob steal or kill, I’m wondering why
It’s a dirty game, is any man worthy of fame?
Much success to you, even if you wish me the opposite
Sooner or later we’ll all see who the prophet is
“Nas is like” Sex to a nympho, but nothing sweet
I’m like beef, bustin’ heat through your windows
I’m like a street sweeper, green leaf breather
Like Greeks in Egypt, learning somethin deep from they teachers
I’m like crime, like your nine, your man you would die for
Always got you, I’m like Pac dude you would cry for
I’m like a whole lot of loot, I’m like crisp money
Corporate accounts from a rich company
I’m like ecstasy for ladies, I’m like all races
Combined in one man, like the ’99 summer jam
      Bulletproof Hummer man
I’m like being locked down around new faces, and none of ’em fam
I’m the feeling of a millionaire spending a hundred grand
      I’m a poor man’s dream, a thug poet
Live it and I write down and I watch it blow up
Y’all know what I’m like, y’all play it your system every night
      Now

    19. No rapper is going to touch Nas. Yes out sell with records but that is about it. No commercials or pop music from Nas to sell records. Nas is the GOAT. T.I versus Nas doesn’t even sound right! Hahaha….

      1. Jmam iam this is the real Scarface if it is it's all on a man but I'm with you on that but if anything I look up to you all cuz I'm 36 and I watch you all out of my years you all was just supposed to be telling t.i. what's going on with you man why is says:

Hve Any of you all, T I asked him why he feeling this way I’ve known him to once again look up to you all why is he spazzing out that’s the thing that you all need to figure out

    20. Laughable….Why do these fools think they can check Nas? Are they insane or what? Nas… Nas… Nas… Really? Man be gone!

    21. God’s Son across the belly (Haha)
I’ll prove you lost already (Uh)

No rapper is messing with Nas period. Go play child.

    22. TI is delusional. I mean it’s cool to have confidence in yourself but at this point it just seems like he’s losing his mind. Stop it man.

    23. I understand having confidence dipset had confidence too but when you hear the locks start throwing them hits around the crowd went crazy Wayne would make TI look like a f****** fool p**** money weed love me I’m just sitting here thinking about all those f****** hits that Lil Wayne has that everybody knows my heart and to me versus is really up to the crowd……. I’m a big TI fan like that’s my dog but he ain’t f****** with Wayne though… Honestly the only person he might be able to beat is 50 because he isn’t as lyrical but he still got memorable hits more memorable his than TI that s*** just make me look at him different he burnt out

      1. Love me? That s**t was trash, and from wayne’s worst era. Wayne is pretty trash overall, he couldn’t go toe to toe with any rapper who is considered great, that’s why he was on a fake reality “singing” show that nobody cares about under a mask lol, because his career is over and people have smartened up and realized how bad he really is.

    24. Stop it man. That’s not what you want. I got nuff respect for you as it is. You gotta learn how to choose your battles.

    25. Man I like TI’s older music and consider him a pretty good rapper but he’s making himself look very egotistical. Every rapper says this crap. Maybe for any of the new wack rappers, he could say none of them have ever out-rapped him, but I mean come on, saying rappers are scared to work with him just makes him sound full of himself. Also, why do these rappers feel the need to say n-ga after every…single…sentence? Makes them sound so stupid and annoying and what they are saying seem unimportant. Besides, TI hasn’t made a good album since 2014 (or 2012 depending on who you ask.) And the only “real” rappers that he mentioned that are even worthy of comparing are Nas and Jay, Wayne, Pusha and Ye were never that great. So I guess if you only compare yourself to wack rappers you’d seem like the best.
