Kodak Black looks to be an engaged man — again. On Tuesday (December 21), footage surfaced of the Sniper Gang leader putting a ring on the finger of his girlfriend Maranda Johnson at a recent party. The couple are expecting a baby girl together in the coming months after announcing Johnson’s pregnancy in September.
In the clips, Kodak can be seen making a speech to his girlfriend on a microphone before slipping the ring on her ring finger, albeit without getting down on one knee. The couple then share a hug and kiss as the attendees capture the priceless moment on their phones.
“I appreciate you for being a vessel to my legacy … And you look so good tonight,” Kodak tells Johnson, before his romantic speech takes an aggressive turn. “Man, listen I’d kill one of these n-ggas ’bout you, ya heard? I’d kill one of these hoes ’bout you. I’d chop a n-gga head off, burn his mama house down and throw his kids in the microwave, ya heard me?
“Even when we ain’t together, we together, ya heard me? And we locked in for life. I hope [the ring] fits.”

Kodak Black’s apparent engagement sees him follow in the footsteps of Lil Durk, who also got engaged to his longtime girlfriend India Royale over the weekend during a concert in his hometown of Chicago.
It also adds confusion to his already-complicated love life, having allegedly proposed to another woman earlier this year. Back in February, it was reported the Florida rapper got engaged to his then-girlfriend, fellow rapper Mellow Rackz, after hiring a plane with a banner that read, “Might as well marry me, Melody. I love u.”
Although there was no confirmation of their split, Kodak Black and Mellow Rackz’s engagement was evidently short-lived and Kodak soon entered a relationship with Maranda Johnson. According to his lawyer, the couple’s unborn child was conceived in April.
As for his music career and legal situation, Kodak Black recently cleared 90 days at a drug treatment program after being ordered to go to rehab when he failed a drug test earlier in 2021. Kodak returned to the stage in December at Rolling Loud California.
