Bogalusa, LA

Louisiana rapper JAYDAYOUNGAN’s latest legal setback has him within the crosshairs of the federal government.

On Friday (December 3), the 23-year-old was indicted on one count of possession of a firearm while under indictment for a felony. According to U.S. Attorney Duane Evans, the rapper faces a maximum sentence of five years in federal prison on the charge as well as three years of probation and a $250,000 fine.

On October 29, JAYDAYOUNGAN (real name Javorious Scott), was pulled over in a silver Audi in his native Bogalusa due to switched-out plates on the car. When he couldn’t provide officers with a license or registration, Scott was asked to exit the vehicle where officers discovered a Ruger Model Security-9, 9mm pistol located on the floor of the driver seat.

The arrest in Bogalusa was compounded by the fact JAYDAYOUNGAN already has an outstanding indictment in Harris County, Texas on charges of assault and possession of a controlled substance. In total, it was his fourth arrest in the last two months, including stints behind bars on reckless driving charges, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, evidence tampering and a host of others.
