Bone Thugs-n-Harmony will finally face off again Three 6 Mafia in a highly anticipated Verzuz battle on Thursday (December 2). Ahead of the big event, Bone Thugs’ resident character Bizzy Bone has shared his thoughts on what it’s like working with the Verzuz team, which includes co-founders Swizz Beatz and Timbaland.
On Saturday (November 27), Bizzy Bone posted an Instagram video of the legendary rap group’s new Verzuz merch and showed nothing but respect to everyone behind the Verzuz machine. But those who might want to holler at Bizzy in the future might want to heed his subsequent warning.
“Dealing with @triller @verzuztv @therealswizzz @timbaland I haven’t seen professionalism like this in a long time,” he wrote. “Take notes to everyone who even thinks of presenting ANYTHING my direction.
“I wish one of you barnyard, Sanford-n-Son scrap metal raggedy ass, nickel and dime, hair brained scheming mf’en leeches would present ANYTHING to me during , before or after this Verzuz. I am telling you now F-U!!!!!!!!!!
The official Verzuz Instagram account announced the upcoming event on November 12 with the caption, “IT’S THAT TIME. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony (@btnhlive) vs Three 6 Mafia (@three6mafia) LIVE from Los Angeles!! Thursday, DECEMBER 2ND. Y’all ready!? #VERZUZ MORE DETAILS COMING SOON!”
The post also promised “ALL members” of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony will be on deck: Bizzy Bone, Layzie Bone, Krayzie Bone, Flesh-n-Bone and Wish Bone.
Bone Thugs are enjoying the extra publicity. During the November 13 episode of Saturday Night Live, Kenan Thompson, Chris Redd, Jonathan Majors and Ego Nwodim did their best Bone Thugs impression for a skit called “Pet Store Ad” in which four members of the group start their own pet store called Dog Bones-n-Melodies.
Set to the 1995 Bone Thugs single “Da Crossroads” from E. 1999 Eternal, each fictional member sang about the various bones they sell at the store.
“I actually love it,” Krayzie Bone told HipHopDX with a laugh. “I thought it was hilarious. My phone has not stopped blowing up about it.”

Good to see Bizzy apart of the Verzuz, but weird thing about Bizzy is even when he is being positive he has a negative mindset. He always has messages for haters and people he don’t want to deal with vs the people that show him support. Yea sometimes it’s other peoples fault, but also sometimes you got to take accountability which he’s not good at doing, him and layzie, haven’t found that peace of mind like Krayzie, Flesh and Wish.
One of the dopest rappers to do it he got range with his voice. 2nd best in the group behind krayzie bone.
This dude stays getting fucked up and posting things lol it’s very obvious
Don’t know how this is really a Verzuz. Three 6 doesn’t really have tracks like that. Bone ranks up there with Wu-Tang Clan and OutKast. Three 6 is cool but they’re not legendary.
I agree with you, but they do a lot of business together. They’ve been doing business since like 99, Krayzie Bone was on Project Pat’s first album and Gansta Boo was on Krayzie Bone first solo. They’ve done shows together. Also Juicy and Paul live on the west coast if I’m not mistaken, so does the majority of Bone, If you did Wu vs Bone where would it Be?? In New York would be a disadvantage to Bone, In Midwest or West Coast is a disadvantage or not fair to Wu. Bone and 3-6 have a lot of fans on the West Coast. I guarantee for these two groups it’s not about a competition or who wins it’s business. They will most likely announce a tour together during the verzuz, also Krayzie has a album coming produced by Paul.
You’ll find out. This is one of the craziest Verzuz because of what you just said. Scroll the comment section of hip-hop sites, youtube and IG. You’ll find just as many people who say this is no contest and 3-6 is going to murder them. It’s split down the middle. I’m from the Midwest and I live in Memphis so I understand it. Bone started out as a superstar group. 3-6 was a local, and then regional group at that time. But by the time Bone fizzled out and fell apart, 3-6 was really getting started and had hits into the 2000s. Much longer run. They have massive RAP hits that you’re just not familiar with (apparently). Bone has more hits that crossed over to pop. But songs like Sippin on Some Sizzurp, Stay Fly, Tear the Club Up, Chickenheads, etc. are going to ring out loudly.
Bone was always a bigger group than 3-6 all the way through. Even at 3-6 height when Bone was no longer at their height, they were still the bigger group. 3-6 never had a multi platinum album, their most successful album is platinum. Bone had like 4 albums go multi platinum some like 4x and 6x platinum. Crossroads put them on another level and they where able to keep it going after Crossroads with songs like Dayz of our livez, Notorious Thugs with Biggie, Breakdown with Mariah, Shoot em up, Thug Luv. In the 90’s the two biggest rap groups were Bone Thugs and Wu tang. Outkast didn’t catch those two groups until 2000. Another indicator of Bone being a bigger group is even in Early 2000’s 3-6 had the some of the hottest songs on the radio and their albums were going platinum. Bone had no radio play at all at this time and was still going platinum. Having a club bangers is cool, but they don’t compare to rap classics. Huge difference. Bone beat out Wu tang and Puffy in 98 at the AMA’s and then 2007-2008 they got the best rap group award again nearly a decade after people say they fell off,
Extremely dope super talented artist but his Ego is massive, I’m a fan of BTNH, Kray is the coolest in the group
Krayzie Bone carried this group on his back
I’ve liked a few of Bizzy’s last solo’s especially carbon monoxide. It would have been even better without the migos diss. Tracks like unlucky ones, land in Cleveland shows he still creating at a high level. The mantra was cool as well. His most recent release wasn’t as good as the previous 2, production was lacking and stiff with exception of In the bag, why we die, arrogant kings. and Bone vs everybody.
He been in the game long enough to know the side bootleg hustlers are going to try to do what they do. It’s on you to stay clear of them. Big up to this legendary verzuz Bone thugs n harmony my favorite group but I like some 3-6 music too. Hopefully this means more collabs.
So does this mean he will sho up?
Yea the rest of the group and even Verzuz have confirmed he will be there.
Glad to see this verzuz both groups deserve their respect and love
That’s crazy SNL spoofed Bone thugs thats major legendaryy
Three 6 Mafia > Bone Thugs n Harmony and its not close…keep believing that it is
Yea Bone by a wide margin
