JAY-Z rarely surfaces on social media. While the Roc Nation mogul has had a Twitter account since 2008, he’s fired off just 269 tweets in the last 13 years. Surprisingly, his last tweet was posted just two days ago on Sunday (October 31), a day after he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

“In my excitement, I failed to prize, and acknowledge JAZ-O, he was the hometown hero that made the dream tangible,” he said of his acceptance speech. “Thank you good man… ok let me lose this password for another year or so . Thank you all again, incredibly humbled by your love.”

But now, it looks like JAY-Z fans can anticipate (or at least hope for) some Instagram posts from the Hip Hop billionaire. As of Tuesday (November 2), Hov is officially on Instagram and following just one person — his wife Beyoncé.

So far, his account has already amassed nearly 600,000 followers with just one post. The photo unsurprisingly plugs his new Western film,The Harder They Fall, which he produced for Netflix. The film’s soundtrack includes two collaborations between JAY-Z and Kid Cudi, as well as Conway The Machine and Jadakiss.
