At this point, Gillie Da Kid might need his own television show on top of doing his Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast alongside Wallo. After making a special appearance as an assistant coach last season, Gillie returned to Jackson State on Sunday (September 5) to help out the football team’s coach, NFL legend Deion Sanders, on the sidelines for the day.
Gillie Da Kid ended up going viral during a first quarter play where a Jackson State defender returned what they thought was an interception for a touchdown. As Gillie’s waving the defender into the end zone, the player gives Gillie the ball and he ends up spiking it in celebration.
Unfortunately, the hilarious clip was all for none, as the pick six was ruled an incomplete pass and Gillie’s antics resulted in Jackson State being hit with an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.
Although the penalty didn’t prove fatal for Jackson State, the team’s defense stepped up and held Florida A&M to a field goal on the possession. They ended up holding on for a low-scoring 7-6 Orange Blossom Classic victory in front of the Hard Rock Stadium crowd in Miami Gardens, Florida.
