TikTok has become an outlet for rappers to release new music or have fans develop a trend to push their stream counts even higher. J. Cole is a rap veteran from a class of artists that came before social media apps such as TikTok and Instagram, and he doesn’t have a profile on either. But he’s seeing some early success on one of them, thanks to some creative people.

On “She Knows” featuring Amber Coffman and Cults, J. Cole raps about his infidelity and struggles with being faithful. The song was the third single off Cole’s 2013 Grammy-nominated album Born Sinner, and the accompanying video captures the song’s focus with precision. The song is eight years old but is finding new life on TikTok.

Fans are using the song to backdrop their videos where mothers and girlfriends know when someone close to them, such as their children or significant others, is lying. The trend has taken a life of its own, with the song inspiring almost 197,000 creations, and most videos are cracking the one-million mark.
