Trae Tha Truth is always willing to step up for his community. A struggling student named Jaydeen Buckley had been selling water to make enough money to purchase school clothes and when Trae Tha Truth heard his story, he got in touch with Buckley’s family and took the teenage boy and his family on a shopping spree.
“We Got You Jaydenn,” Trae wrote on Instagram. “Welcome To Houston…. Anotha Day Anotha Blessing.”
Buckley’s mother Meka facilitated a meeting between Trae and her children, then he took them on the trip of a lifetime. The Buckley family had recently relocated from Atlanta to Houston and with Trae and the Relief Gang’s help, the move is off to a good start.
Buckley had been selling waters for about three weeks outside a Houston gas station, looking to make enough money before the school year began for new clothes and a tablet. A Facebook post pointing him out went viral and that’s when Trae The Truth stepped in.

According to The Shade Room, Meka Buckley relayed to them that Megan Thee Stallion — another Houston favorite — reached out to the Buckley family and sent her security team to pick her son Buckley up for another shopping spree.
Trae The Truth recently opened an ice cream shop just outside of Houston that will employ special needs young adults. Howdy Homemade Ice Cream opened on July 22.
