Kanye West’s rumored romance with supermodel Irina Shayk looks to be no more. According to PageSix, Kanye invited Shayk to join him earlier in July for Paris Fashion Week’s Balenciaga show, but she allegedly turned down the Chicago-bred mogul’s invitation because she didn’t want it to look like they were dating.

“She likes him as a friend, but doesn’t want a relationship with him,” a PageSix source adds. “She doesn’t want the association that they are dating, which is what would have run in the press if she showed up [in Paris with him]. It would have been another month of news saying that they are dating.”

Kanye West was first spotted with Irina Shayk and friends when they traveled to France to celebrate the rap icon’s 44th birthday in June. At the time, TMZ speculated that the potential couple were “romantically involved” but weren’t in a relationship just yet even though they had been casually seeing each other for months.

Shayk and Kanye’s friendship dates back over a decade. She appeared in his 2010 “Power” visual and he name-dropped her in “Christian Dior Denim Flow” the same year. Shayk also walked in his 2012 fashion show in Paris for a discontinued women’s line.
