Future’s “Mask Off” streams are sure to go through the roof after the latest announcement from the Center for Disease Control. After more than a year of donning masks, the CDC revealed on Thursday (May 13) that fully vaccinated Americans don’t need to wear a mask indoors or outdoors in most situations.

“Mask Off” released in 2017 as part of Future’s self-titled album, but the hit record took on a new meaning once the COVID-19 pandemic struck in 2020. Outside of those living in southern states such as Texas, Florida, or Mississippi, the latest recommendation from the CDC is a welcomed sight for most Americans.

Fans flocked to Twitter with predictions of “Mask Off” possibly going No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with America inching closer to its new normal after an agonizing year.

“Mask Off” previously peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and fans are hoping to bring the track to new heights as vaccinations rise and COVID-19 cases drop around the country.
