On Sunday (May 9), Lil Baby took to Instagram to tease a May 28 arrival date for their Voice of the Heroes project, while sharing a photo standing alongside Lil Durk. However, the Quality Control rapper ended up deleting the post shortly after sharing the news to his 15.2 million followers.
“How does Voice of the Heroes dropping May 28 sound?” he originally wrote, while tagging Lil Durk with some mind-blown and fire emojis.
When Voice of the Heroes become more a real thing and not just a fan suggestion, Lil Baby went into detail about the album.
“That’s gon’ happen before Lamborghini Boys,” he said. “Me and Durk be locked in every night. That’s the new one. We coming. Me and Durk dropping an album for sure. We don’t got no title yet, but I think it’s gon’ be called Voice of the Heroes. When it comes to that street shit, the hood, it’s like we the voice and heroes of this shit. Kids look at us like heroes, I know they look at me like one and Durk too. That n-gga been holding it down for a minute.”
He continued, “We got songs we just bars, we got songs we the vibe, we got songs with other people that just remake some other songs. It’s gonna be one of the craziest albums to ever come out. We got more than one album recorded. We been locked in with each other. That shit easy.”
Lil Baby and Lil Durk recently collaborated with DJ Khaled on a song called “Every Chance I Get” off his Khaled Khaled album. A music video for the Tay Keith-produced track was released on Tuesday (May 4) and earned six million YouTube views in as many days.
