Big Sean isn’t a stranger to criticism; social media has opened celebrities up to all kinds of scrutiny from anyone and everyone. While most comments go unnoticed or at least ignored, one particular jab prompted Big Sean to reply.
A Twitter user by the name of @jaidvn replied to a thread asking why Big Sean is the “worst rapper” ever. His response were some of Sean’s lyrics from 2011’s Finally Famous cut “I Do It:” “I’m Quagmire, I fuck hoes/My cashflow I ‘giggity-get’ it.”
Big Sean replied, “I’m surprised u even remember stuff I did over a decade ago, especially if u didn’t like it lol. Love man, I out grew that line n a lot of my old stuff myself too, but I have also gone platinum like 50 times after that lol. I pray u live out ya dreams like I have fasho.”
Undeterred, the Big Sean fan (?) continued digging up old lyrics to further make his case, including the “Blessings” line, “I guess when your stars align/You do like the solar system and plan it out.”

But then @jaidvn got hit with the block button and proudly showed that off in an another tweet.
Big Sean presumably has more important things to worry about anyway. In March, the veteran rapper announced his 2012 mixtape Detroit was finally hitting streaming services.
Detroit served as Sean’s fourth mixtape and featured Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole, Juicy J, French Montana, Royce Da 5’9 and more. As suggested by the title, the project paid tribute to his beloved Michigan hometown with testimonies from Common, Jeezy and Snopp Dogg on why they appreciate Motor City.
The long await sequel, Detroit 2, arrived in September 2020 and boasted contributions from Eminem, Royce, Post Malone, Young Thug, Travis Scott, Lil Wayne, Diddy and the late Nipsey Hussle.

Detroit 2 hit the chart at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with roughly 103,000 total album-equivalent units in its first week, 30,000 of those being pure album sales.
