Drake wants to see you rap and he’s putting his money where his mouth is when it comes to Season 3 of the Ultimate Rap League. Drizzy will be putting up the $100,000 cash prize himself for the winner of the battle rap series, which kicks off on Saturday (April 24) at 3 p.m. ET on the Caffeine streaming platform.
16 MCs are set to put their rhymes to the test in battle rap’s premier tournament setting, but only one artist will reign supreme and take home the six-figure prize. It’s a single-elimination tournament that will play out over the course of three weeks, but it’s all free for fans to take in the action on Caffeine.
In February 2020, Drake inked a multi-year partnership deal with Caffeine for the URL. He’ll also be dabbling with other avenues for content on the platform.
“I’ve always loved URL and admired what Smack and his team have been able to create,” he said at the time. “It just wasn’t easily accessible. It’s exciting to be in a position where I’m able to bring Caffeine to the table and help provide URL with the tools they need to elevate the viewing experience and make it more accessible to fans.”

Caffeine was launched by Apple alum Ben Keighran and recently started another community for street dancing. Who knows, just maybe Drake will hook the winner of the competition up with a spot at OVO.
