HOUSTON, TX

When Houston is in need, Trae Tha Truth is always there to step up and help his people. While Texas senator Ted Cruz escaped to Cancun this week, Trae’s Relief Gang organization has supplied meals, water, charcoal, generators and more supplies for struggling Texans.

Texas was slammed with a historic snowstorm and brutal freezing temperatures earlier this week, which has left citizens scrambling without electricity, heat, hot water and proper food supply.

“It’s bad out here man, getting hot meals is one thing, and that’s important but we are looking into what’s going to happen next week when people have to return to homes that have been flooded from burst pipes, and unloveable conditions,” Trae said. “It’s a non-stop fight for survival.”

He continued in an Instagram video, “Me and the team out here as we speak trying to purchase any food [and] collect any meals we can, so we can go out and give it to these families that have been without power for the past two, three days.”

Millions have been impacted by the weather crisis, as grocery stores and restaurants also have shut down without power. Trae has linked up with his partner DJ Mr. Rogers and famous gambling Houstonian Mattress Mack to do their part in helping the public.

Trae also put the Texas leadership on blast with news of senator Cruz fleeing to Cancun and governor Abbott dropping the ball on preparing for the storm.
