Erica Banks has returned with a remix to her viral “Buss It” single – this time with Houston’s own Travis Scott.
The Dallas native teased the collaboration on Thursday afternoon (February 11) with a Twitter post that read, “Houston we have a problem. 5 pm CT!! #laflame.” The accompanying clip came with a tiny snippet of the song and footage of a rocket taking off.
“Buss It” exploded on TikTok in January with a challenge similar to the makeover challenge, generating over 5.5 million videos on the platform. The song, which samples Nelly’s 2002 hit “Hot In Herre,” even received a co-sign from Nelly himself during an interview with the Zach Sang Show last month.
“It’s dope, It’s dope man,” he said. “Keep doing it. Obviously, I had to clear the record but keep doing it, definitely. I see the numbers adding up for me it’s awesome [laughs]. They reached out to me because I had to clear it a while ago. You can’t put nothing like that out without getting it cleared. When I heard the record, I was like, ‘Yo that’s jamming, that’s hard.’ I want to make sure the sister has a shot to try to better her life. I wouldn’t want to hold any of that up.”

Banks has since inked a deal with Warner Records in partnership with 1501 Certified Entertainment and is seemingly on her way to superstardom, especially with collaborations of such high caliber.
Earlier this month, “Buss It” became Banks’ first No. 1 appearance on a Billboard chart after conquering both the Top Triller U.S. and Top Triller Global charts during the week ending February 6. The song also climbed to No. 67 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, No. 19 on Airplay and gained a one percent boost, increasing the total streams to 6.2 million.
