UPDATE: DaBaby’s teamdenied the gunfire was related to the video shoot.
One of DaBaby’s video shoots has reportedly erupted in gunfire. According to The Shade Room, the chart-topping rapper was on set in his home state of North Carolina on Saturday (October 3) when shots rang out.
DaBaby had been posting Instagram videos of himself throughout the weekend, flashing stacks of hundred dollar bills and inadvertently confirming his location. In one of the two clips, dozens of people are gathered in a group on a Charlotte street when all of sudden several shots go off.
In a second clip, police sirens become increasingly louder as they approach the scene where a woman is laying on the side of the road, seemingly injured. The man behind the camera says, “They hit the lady, man. They was shootin’ at us and shot a muthafuckin’ lady … she ain’t die on the scene. I hope that lady makes it to the hospital and survives. Bitch ass n-ggas. Police, too, I ain’t trustin’ none of these n-ggas. ”

WCCB Charlotte reporter Marvin Beach also tweeted about the melee and included photos of the scene. Beach confirmed the person hit was suffering from serious injuries.
“#NEW At 10pm, more on a possible shooting in the Derita neighborhood,” Beach wrote. “Witnesses say rapper ‘DaBaby’ was filming a music video in the area, when it happened near W. Sugar Creek & Gibbon Rd. MEDIC says one person has life-threatening injuries.”
