In a lengthy post on her Instagram Story on Wednesday (July 22), the singer/dancer alluded to being hurt recently and “finding closure.”
“What’s not for me God will not allow,” she wrote. “What I give love to should equally give back .. I’m giving all my love to myself, God, and to my family. I finished everything I need to.. album cover is done, my Movie is completed.. and my press looks crazy. I worked so hard even in the process of being hurt.. I’m clearing my mind.. cleansing my soul.. and finding closure for myself.. I’m coming back home a new person.”
Previously, the “Levi High” collaborators were linked after fans compared their similar location backgrounds while Los Angeles was under strict stay-at-home orders in May, and more recently when they stepped out arm-in-arm in Los Angeles. In March, fans got the first hint something could be brewing when the “Easy” singer got into a social media spat with DaBaby’s baby’s mother, MeMe. Dani denied any allegations of an affair in a later radio interview, however.
On the professional side, the pair have collaborated on the song and video for Dani’s “Levi High” single, and Dani choreographed the popular dance from the video to Baby’s hit single, “Bop.” Revisit the visual below.
