Tyga Proves Pop Smoke Approved Of His Collaboration & Karol G-Assisted ‘Enjoy Yourself’

Pop Smoke fans have largely been happy with the final product of his posthumous album, but Tyga’s appearance on “West Coast Shit” and Karol G’s contribution to “Enjoy Yourself” have caught a significant amount of flack on social media. Despite speculation about the two not having Pop’s blessing, Tyga shared a few text messages proving the late rapper co-signed their involvement.

“Wish u was here bro bro #WooForever #ShootForTheStarsAimForTheMoon,” the West Coast artist wrote along with screenshots of the texts.

The messages show Tyga and the slain rapper discussing a collaboration, as well as the involvement of Karol G, just a week before Pop was shot and killed in Los Angeles.

Pop’s Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon was posthumously released via Republic Records and Victor Victor Worldwide on Friday (July 3). The LP was executive produced by 50 Cent, who announced he would finish the project after Pop passed away in February.

The highly anticipated album featured guest appearances by DaBaby, Future, Quavo, Lil Baby, Swae Lee and more. The project did have a bumpy rollout though as its original cover art designed by Virgil Abloh was maligned by fans. The criticism became so widespread the artwork was changed in time for the LP’s release.

Calboy Lashes Out After Being Removed From Pop Smoke's 'Diana' Song

In addition to the cover hiccup, RCA Records artist Calboy revealed he was removed from the album cut “Diana” yet his adlibs remained on the song.

“y’all bogus asf for taking me off pop smoke album,” he tweeted on Friday.

Calboy added, “But my apologies if I made tht bout myself for a second .. was juss looking forward to more work out wit my boy @POPSMOKE10.”

    1. I don’t think that counts as proof. In music industry u don’t tell someone u don’t like their verse, as this is rude and can cause probs, but u may leave it off final version. Also that text cud be from anyone plus easily faked.
If pop really did want the album to be mostly generic commercial pop, we will never know
