As the chatter surrounding August Alsina’s alleged affair with Jada Pinkett Smith continues, the Red Table Talk host is finally addressing the situation publicly.
On Thursday morning (July 2), the actress and Will Smith’s wife of 23 years tweeted she’d be discussing the allegations on the next episode of her popular Facebook show. While Pinkett Smith typically has a wide array of guests on every episode, this time it’s going to be her alone.
“There’s some healing that needs to happen,” she wrote. “so I’m bringing myself to The Red Table.”
The rumors flared up again after Alsina told Angela Yee in a recent interview Smith gave him his “blessing” to have a sexual relationship with his wife. But reps for both Smith and Pinkett Smith deny anything like that ever happened.

But during Alsina’s conversation with Yee, the 27-year-old singer was adamant the romance went on for years.
“I love those people literally like my family,” Alsina told Yee. “I actually sat down with Will and had a conversation due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership that they’ve spoken on several times and it not involving romanticism. He gave me his blessing and I totally gave myself to that relationship for years of my life.
“And I truly am really, really deeply loved and have a ton of love for her. I devoted myself to it. I gave my full self to it – so much so to the point that I can die right now and be OK with knowing that I truly gave myself to somebody.”
The inner workings of the couple’s marriage has been tabloid fodder for years. In 2005, Smith told The Daily Mail he and his wife discuss freely about being sexually attracted to other people.

“If it came down to it, then one can say to the other, ‘Look, I need to have sex with somebody,” he said. “I’m not going to if you don’t approve of it – but please approve of it’.”
Alsina released his latest project The Product III: stateofEMERGEncy last Friday (June 26). The 27-track effort features Tink, Yo Gotti, Lil Wayne, Juicy J and Darrel Walls and includes the singles “NOLA,” “Rounds,” “Work To Do,” “Sincerely” and “Deliver Us.”
